It would be fine for you to take care of that. Thanks for asking and thinking of her. She is one of my younger sisters.

You are welcome. I hope you enjoy your research as much as I do. I actually have a lot of notes on your extended Bandhauer family. If you would like, I will send them to you via email with my sources and notes. I never know when to stop, but it helps when someone asks for information and I can see them in my tree.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have removed the photos. I left the gravestone picture b/c it matches the dates on the memorial.
If you wish a transfer, please let me know.
Again thank you for catching my error.

|Sara Bennett||Day family: Descendants of Bazil/Basle/Bazle/Basil Day|
I was looking at the entry you maintain for the grave of Samuel Day (b 1757, buried in Ross Co OH).
My hypothesis is that Basil (spelled?) Day is Ransom's son.
My reasoning is that in the History of W OH & Auglize Co, a Basil Day (b 1781) is mentioned. It also says my ancestor Alanson Earle married a Rachel Day (b 1816).
Is Rachel Basil's daughter? No hard evidence for this. The "soft" evidence is that Rachel and Alanson named one of their sons Ransom Day Earl (b 1849).
Even "softer" "evidence": You mention a Day family story (that as you say, "lacks supporting documentation"), that Samuel's wife was Margaret Cohagen, daughter of Alec Cohagen and Leka, daughter of a Cherokee Chief.
If this were true, it would mean that Rachel Day had Indian ancestry...like her husband Alanson. It seems very likely if not 100% provable, that Alanson's mother, Dorcas Tabitha Wixon (b 1783) has Indian ancestry. Her gg-grandfather is Robert Wixon (Wicksen / Wixam / Wexam / Vixen b <1625) and (so the widely-accepted story goes) a Nauset Indian woman Alice. Robert Wixon was one of the first settlers of Nauset/Eastham MA on Cape Cod who came to the early Massachusetts Bay colony as an indentured teenager. His indenture was bought out by an ex governor of the colony, who decamped with a few other disgruntled "old comers" to Nauset/Eastham on an apparently amicable relationship with the Nausets, said to be the group most friendly to the English settlers. Wixon descendants are a known component of the Mashpee Indians today.
It's possible (ie it can't be ruled in or out yet) that one or more the spouses of Robert & Alice's descendants could be descendants of other early "country marriages."
It would be interesting to know if early Ohio families with Indian ancestry tended to intermarry...it would be interesting to know the history of attitudes of and towards such "Metis" individuals. If you know of any research...please let me know.

I have made the corrections & links which now show 2 Elizabeths. I can request Mary to add the photo to my memorial but the duplicate would remain, you would have to transfer it back to her in order for it to be deleted, only the original contributor can delete a duplicate memorial, they had to make it impossible for people to request transfers & then delete them, then create a memorial with them contributing which is totally wrong knowing how hard I have worked on finding these transcriptions of cemeteries & adding them, people were getting very upset & I don't blame them, on the other hand I have come across more than a few times like these situation where it involves 3 people, making it harder to correct the situation. I will contact Mary & explain.

Birth: Jul. 1, 1888 (sic), Russian Federation (see text 1868 - also see tombstone)
His mother was b. 1837 and his brother was b. 1857, and I read his stone as 1868, which is much more logical. Also his wives were b. 1867 and 1869 which also adds to the logic. Not to mention his oldest child was b. 1891.

You are welcome! My 9-year-old took the pictures as part of a Webelos scout project, and I uploaded using my email/findagrave account.
We have a weekend place nearby, this cemetery has been one of our favorite stops when we're out. All grave markers at this cemetery have now been photographed.
Do you know the physical location of the old Bryson house or houses? There are a few old foundations on Wheelabout and also on Reeves Hollow.
