RE: Oakland Cemetery
Under cemeteries of Adam County, Iowa
http://iaadams.com/data/Cemetery_H.htm
they show an Albert Hathaway buried in Oakland. The best of my records has him born January 8, 1884 in Adams County, Iowa. The Adams County Free Press issue of September 26, 1940 mentioned him as a victim of a homicide and his body taken to Corning for burial.
Sincerely,
Ken Brose

Oakland Cemetery
Dear Brad:
Is there a county contact number for Oakland Cemetery, Adams County, Iowa. There is a record for John Hathaway being buried at this cemetery. I would like to see if they have more information on this person if any?
Sincerely,
Ken Brose

RE: A question
Brad,
I know has been awhile since we were in contact but I am hoping you may be able to help sort out some confusing facts concerning David Beckett. Since you knew him, maybe you could help me out?

Absalom Bonaparte McDonald
Thank you for posting the photo of the large grave marker for Absalom Bonaparte McDonald. One of the contributors to a family tree at www.rootsweb.com mentioned he had a large, imposing grave marker. The researcher, who was his descendant said his second wife, Ann, had a small marker, which you have also photographed. When you have a chance, would you check to see if there is any grave marker for his first wife, Mariah or Marie (Hook) McDonald. Thanks for your efforts in taking the photographs of the many grave markers.

Brad that is so nice of you! This "limb" on my genealogy is not primary but I'd love love to have the info. Adella Watkins was married to Charles Moore and they had five children. IF you find any of the rest of them in the same cemetery I'd sure appreciate any thing you find.

STAY WARM!! and.....Thank you!!

Hi, My Jackie is not the one your looking for as she is my first cousin and her maiden name is Kurtz and she was married only once. Good luck on your search. Betty

RE: William L. Hanna
Brad, thanks. I think I have everyone in Iowa accounted for, right now, anyway. In looking for some Hannahs in Iowa, I ran across "W.S Hannah", who sounds very much like someone who could be related to me. "William L. Hanna," not so much. This family search thing isn't always as linear as one would hope! Thanks again for your help.

William L. Hanna
Brad, thanks for the photo for Mr. Hanna. With that spelling, he is not a person I'm looking for, but it's good to get the clarification. I appreciate your going out, finding and documenting this burial. Thanks for all you do for Find A Grave!
