Stella,
It seems that you and I are not the only ones confused at this time.....(I included you as a courtsey recipient on my response to Robin McIntosh). Robin and I are concurrently in the same situation with two others buried in one or the other of the two cemeterys....I think I am going to transfer my memorial to her and let her work out the solution......I encourage you not to delte yours until it can be resolved...Happy digging...

RE: John Simons
Thanks, Stella. How wonderful to connect with another member of our extended family! Please let me know if you find the records of his burial in Harris Hill. Meanwhile I'll insert a note in the Bio stating that this burial location is a guess, and I'll delete the duplicate memorial.
Thanks again and best wishes! Peg

Thank you!!
Dear Stella! Thank you so much for recording the burial of my 3G grandfather, John Simons, in Harris Hill Cemetery, Clarence, Erie, New York! I had hoped to find evidence that he is buried there-- where his friend and neighbor, Luther McNeal and Luther's wife, Rebecca, are buried.

It would be wonderful to have a photo of his grave--and a copy of the cemetery record if not a gravestone inscription!

Thank you again. This is wonderful. I would very much appreciate it if you could transfer his memorial to me. I'll send you another message with my Find A Grave number!

Peg Simons

Lizzie Marcum
Hi Stella, I saw a message you left for Lizzie Marcum. I've been researching my mother's side of the family and Lizzie Marcum was my great grandmother's name and she was from the TN/KY area. Do you know if your Lizzie Marcum is related to her. My great grandmother was once married to Marsh Ivy and had a daughter in 1907 (my grandmother) Mary Ellen Ivy. I was told that my great-grandmother got divorced and married Gilbert Marcum. I would love to find a connection to that side of my family history. If you have any information, I would be so happy to have it. Thank you

Nora C. Healy - 94174631
Hi:

Wondering if you could connect Nora to her parents, who are buried in Oceana Center Cemetery, Oceana County, Michigan.

As you know, Nora's parents were John McQueen and Pamelia Jones. Pamelia married first, Hiram McQueen and then second, Hiram's brother John. Hiram may have died in the Civil War. after Hiram's death, John and Pamelia married and moved from DeKalb County Indiana to Alamo, Kalamazoo County, MI where they are found in the 1860 census next to John's brother Henry and two pages from their brother Oliver P. McQueen.

Best Regards,

Jeff McQueen (descend from Henry)

THANKS, Stella, for your kind, generous transfer. I've linked Floyd Jr to your wife Ellen, BUT noticed another Graver had duplicated your memorial.

I deleted my earlier photo. Yours was better. Looks like someone has cleaned the marker since I took my photo.

You are welcome but I wish their headstone would have came out a little clearer. The next time I'm in that area I will try to retake.

RE: Frank Rickley, Sr.
I did put a note on the memorial. I wonder if Frank was actually born in 1900. I think all the "100" years are leap years. The date probably wouldn't have been all that serious a thing, back in the day.

My parents and I visited Frank's place once when I was in 4th grade. My aunt and uncle were staying there before getting a place in town. They were 12 miles out and had to haul water. There were chickens running around and the surrounding landscape was very beautiful. Being a city gal, I had never before seen a live chicken.

Money-wise they had almost nothing, but the thing I most remember was that they shared everything they had. If one person had something, it was available to everyone. My aunt went to another house to get coffee to brew for my parents, and another to get something else (can't remember what) and they seemed to me that people there were content and happy in their lives.

So did you know my Uncle Bob and Aunt Mary?

Best Wishes,
Tina

Frank Rickley Sr birth date
Hi Stella,

I realize that his grave marker says 29 Feb 1889, but when I try to input that into Family Tree Maker it tells me that 1889 was not a leap year; and leap years are always even numbers. What do you suggest?

Best Wishes,
Tina
