Thanks so much for the link to Wildey cemetery interments. Do you happen to have the rest of the alphabet as well? I would love to see the whole listing so I can correct many of the pages I have there.
If you do, please email me -
Much appreciation!

RE: The Carvill family
Was happy to do it. Wanted to let you know that there is apparently two listings for this cemetery. One listing as "New Portland Cemetery" and another listing as "West New Portland Cemetery". They are both the same cemetery, but I can't seem to log onto the forums to get them merged. The West New Portland Cemetery has many more listings for the Carvill family members, including William's parents.

Good luck with your search

RE: The Gills
No, I have just lived in the Peru area most of my life. I grew up in Dixfield and attended the schools there in the 80's.

RE: Jerry and Rubina Bartlett
Thank you for your messages. It was our honor to be able to fulfill your photo requests. I went to church with Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett when I was growing up. They were a dear couple.

I created 5 memorials from the photos that were taken, and would be happy to transfer them over to you if you would like. They are for Beatrice, Eugene, Sylvia, and Marie Ann Gill, as well as Mr. Bartlett's. Please let me know. God bless.

RE: Frances and Frank Carvill
Hi Leslie,

Thank you so much and thank you for all the interesting facts. That makes doing this so much more interesting. The information in the cemetery book and the info on the cards have conflicting dates. If I emailed you all that I have with explanations you would see what I mean. Also the person who wrote the info on the cards just put her name as Mrs.F.A. Carvill.
It really looks like to me(comparing the date on the old book) she died on Dec. 27, 1872, and Frank died Feb. 20, 1873. The card also has her age as 27months 27 days (instead of 27 years 27 days) It really is a mess the way they kept these records. Also half the info on the cards was written in pencil which did not show up well on the photocopier.
The lady in the office said there was a lot of mistakes made at that cemetery. Let me know what you would like to do. Posting these photos the way I took them would just make it more confusing.

Frances and Frank Carvill
Sorry I failed to mention the area code for Maine is 207. So Stephanie's # is 207-782-1681.

RE: Frances and Frank Carvill
Hi Leslie,
I went to the office of the Riverside Cemetery in Lewiston Maine today. The lady who runs the office (Stephanie)and 782-1681 is the office number. She was very helpful showing me the cemetery book and some cards she copied from an old filing cabinet about Frances Carvill and her son Frank. Frances died in childbirth Dec.27, 1873 (not 1883). The son Frank died a couple a months later. You would probably get more info if you called her.
The only actual gravestone on lot 0431 is Rebecca Whitney who was maybe a sister-in=law. I took photos of the info in the old book and have some photo copies of the cards she made for me, and also a photo of Rebecca Whitney's tombstone. There is no known tombstone for Frances and Frank unless it is buried under the grass like so many of them over there are.(I will poke around with something later to see if I hit something). The records do say Frances and her son Frank are buried on lot 0431.

RE: Frances and Frank Carvill
Hi Leslie,
That information will make it even more interesting when I look for them. It may be next weekend before I do it, unless I can get my work van up in there on lunch break.

I will try to find these graves on plot 0413. I was going to do it today and the rain set in. I have the plot map and I am very familiar with this cemetery.

Karen Bocas aka Kareem
Hi Leslie,

I have received a response from the cemetery ... the response was "I have checked the registers that were kept during this period and both registers state the name of the deceased as Karen BOCAS. We have the deceased recorded as a male of 59 years." They also indicated the grave was a single with no others buried there.

They also said they would be happy to amend their records if a death certificate could be produced to provide the correct details.

RE: Karen Bocas
Hi Leslie,

I suspect you might be right ... I have extensively search QLD BDM records for a death record in 1943 and the only person close in name is Kareem Bocos ... I have contacted the Mt Gravatt cemetery to ask them to double check their records and will let you know once they get back to me.

Walter Peterson

You requested a photo of the marker for Walter Peterson, memorial #99819662, buried in Masonic Memorial Park in Tumwater, WA. and was told his grave is unmarked. He does have a marker and a photo has been added to his memorial if you would like to see it.

Hope this helps,

Laura Carr at Forest Home Cemetery
Hi! I need the burial Section and Lot Numbers in order to take a photograph for you. This cemetery's staff does not help photo volunteers, and the burial location is not available anywhere else.

Phone: 708-366-1900

Last year I fulfilled over 450 photo requests at this cemetery after the burial location was provided.

Thank you!

Childs Grave markers Oakdale Cemetery
You have a request for two grave markers for Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston, Polk County, Minnesota. I was out there today to see if I could locate them again. I noticed that the grave markers have become over grown again. So I will have to go back again when I have my stuff with me to dig them out along with some help. So it might take me a little bit to get them.

Thanks for your kind note! Happy to be able to help. It's the least I can do to remember these men. Wish I had more time as the list of requests is always quite long.

RE: Mary Carr Childs
You are welcome. I have spent many hours digging out grave markers. The Child's were not my first or my last ones.

RE: Sarah Wainwright
As there are many people that work this cemetery, it would probably be best to update the memorial (add plot number).

The weather right now is not good for looking for headstones (rain, rain and more rain)

Hopefully, when the weather gets better, we will be out there and someone will be able to fulfill the requests.
