Thanks for catching my error and rejecting my edit suggestion for John Arthur Ratliff. That was supposed to be for his wife, Vera Blanche Thornton Ratliff. Definitely my bad! I've resubmitted the edit suggestion for Vera instead of John.

I see that someone has disputed this James Monroe Stigler's record in the War Between the States. The Confederate Graves Registry (http://cgr.scv.org/) by the Sons of Confederate Veterans confirms that this James Monroe Sticker was the Lt. in the 25th Mississippi that later became Col. of the 1st Miss. Also,my grandfather (born 1876) was J.M. Stiglers grandson and lived next door to him until J.M.S. died in 1919. My grandfather passed down to my father the stories of the War that his grandfather had told to him.

|William G. Latham Jr.||Garner Families of Montgomery County, Mississippi|
I wonder if you could tell me if your John W. Garner was some how related to Daniel & Irons Garner. I'm seeking info. about these families. Daniel married Celia Heslep, Apr. 20, 1797 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Daniel was born abt. 1777 died Feb. 14, 1860 in Carroll County, Mississippi. Celia was born June 10, 1780 in North Carolina. She died aft. 1850, probably in Carroll County, Miss. They had four known children; Mary Nettles Garner, Celia Garner, Lawson Garner, and Irons Garner. One of Irons Garner sons was William Wallace Garner.

|John Eslick||Solomon Bennett 1786-1852|
I have evidence to indicate Solomon was son of William Bennett 1750 SC - 1820 Lincoln Co TN and Lydia Unk 1758 SC - 30 Apr 1822 Lincoln Co TN.
Was brother to my Elisha Bennett 1799 GA - 1857 Giles Co TN paternal 4th ggrandfather.
Whereas Elisha was too young to server in the War of 1812 all other older brother did & were compensated with land in new territory in MS.

Hi. I added his headstone today. While I was out there I also took a pic of Elizabeth Lancaster. I wish I could have gotten the dates but it is over half way buried in the ground.

|mdblocher||Lucille Pentecost #67230666|
I strongly believe she was the daughter of the senior Albert Louis Pentecost #35795662 &
Nettie Lee Travis Pentecost #35795586 as she indicated on the 1910 census that she had had two children with only one living (Albert Louis Pentecost, jr plus the fact his tombstone matches hers. But I have no proof. I don't know what B & D records exist in Sunflower County, MS for that time period. I know the state hadn't started keeping death records yet. Are they all buried in the same plot?

Here is his wife: 106936817 RE your note I believe he's buried next to her. I took a 2nd look at site & there is a space but no stone. If you have info on him I will add to a list I'm compiling so that I can check against IOOF burial list. It has been tied up w/volunteers from new cem assoc trying to computerize for almost 2 yrs. I can't help as they don't want the books taken out of office & I could only do working from my home - anyway, will put him & any detail you might have on a 'look see' basis - but I believe we're safe to assume he is in IOOF Gwood.

|Lois Tanner||Sammy Wakefield|
I found another grave of a child in the Boyle South Cemetery. His name is listed as Sammy Wakefield, there is also a Samuel Wakefield list, but with no dates. The child was born when my Anna R. Wakefield was married to Sylvester Cade Beevers. Do you know any more about this family? Wondering if this could possibly be another child by my Sylvester and Anna. Perhaps another Wakefield family.
