Crawford Cemetery, New London, MO
I noticed that you recently added photos of gravesites at Crawford Cemetery north of New London, MO. I was wondering if you could assist me with directions to get there. The only thing I have to go on is that it is north of town on a dirt road. MY 5th G Grandfather, James Paris, is burried there and I would like to take the 100 mile trip to go there. Please contact me at
Thanks, James Paris

Hilt Family
Thanks very much. I have added all three of the other Hilt family members if you would like to add the photos. I had wondered if Nick, Sr.'s wife Elizabeth was buried with him.

Thanks again!

Gashes at the Gash-Bates Cemetery
I saw that you had posted some pictures for the cemetery. Thanks for doing that. I photographed all of the monuments at the cemetery last year but could not post to findagrave as they were too large. So again, Thank you.
Are you related to anyone in the cemetery?
I will be happy to transfer to you any memorial that I have done at the cemetery.

RoBards children
Hi Kay,

Do you recall seeing the graves or possibly have photos of three children of John Lewis and Sarah RoBards?

They didn't live to adulthood, but don't know if they died as infants. They were originally buried in the Old Methodist Cemetery and moved to Mt. Olivet when it was established. Below are their names and the death dates that I have (though don't know if dates are correct):

Jennie Beverly d. 1864
Nannie Carpenter d. 1865
Lewis d. 1875

Bacon-Hannibal, MO
Hi Kay, I received your message and the most beautiful photos were added to Find A Grave! In regards to the Bacon memorial I would love to transfer ownership of the family to you if you are a decedent or may have a special interest in the family. I do not add unverified information such as who their parents were without looking it up and I do not have time to do that. Thank you for adding the photos as all history is important! Blessings to you. Patti

RE: Helm, Davidson, etc.
I also have a memorial for Mary Aileen Davidson 1886-1970. She is the daughter of the first Jas. F. Davidson and Mary Nicholas Helm Davidson.

RE: Helm, Davidson, etc.

I have created memorials for the Bozarth children, Jas. Franklin Davidson II and wife, Helen, and also for Jas. Franklin Davidson IV. All these James Franklins are difficult to keep up with-- especially since they don't descend directly from JFD 1st!

RE: Helm, Davidson, etc.
Thanks once again. Your photos are excellent.
I will create memorials for: James Franklin Davidson (1913-1999) and his wife Helen (1911-94) and also for J. F. Davidson IV right away. {Jas. F. Davidson IV's picture is with the stone for J. F. Davidson III (1937-2010) that you added this a.m.} Also, do you have photos for the Bogarth infants?

The cemetery records show buried in Sec. 6, Lot 1 where many of the oldest graves are in the Helm plot a Benjamin M. Helm (d. 1864) and a John C. Helm with the date of 4-22-63 which we assume is 1863, but could be 1963. Those are the two that I am very curious about.

I appreciate all the photos so much.

I have created memorials for James F. Davidson, III; John Helm Davidson, Jr. and his wife; the 2 Bozarth children; Rose Fore and husband; Matilda Helm Johnson and husband.

Will get to the Logans asap. You are correct that Wm H Logan is a son of John & Alice Helm Logan.

Much thanks

Helm, Davidson, etc.
You are just a world of information! Thanks for the websites.

I will make memorials for many that you have taken photos for, but will take me a day or two to get it done. I'll let you know when I have them ready. You are correct: The Helms with an "s" are not part of this family, as far as I know.

There are four additional ones that I really would like to have. Two are: James Franklin Davidson II and his wife, Helen Melker. Two more that I have questions about, but think they may be Clinton Helm and Benjamin Helm--both are sons of John B. Helm and are located in Section 6, Lot 1, which is the original John B. Helm memorial area. According to the receptionist at Mt. Olivet they are listed as:Benjamin M. Helm d. 1864 and John C. Helm d. 1863. We know that Benjamin died in Charleston, S.C. in 1864, and there is a PVT B. M. Helm in the Magnolia Cem. in Charleston. I was hoping that their grave stones may reveal more information. We suspect that both sons may have been Civil War casualties and that Benjamin was re-interred to Mt. Olivet. We also know that 3 of the RoBards infants who died in the 1860's were buried in the Old Methodist Cem. and later removed to Mt. Olivet in 1875. Do you know when Mt. Olivet Cem was started?

Thanks again for everything.

I cannot thank you enough for all the photos that you have put on for me these last few days. They are just wonderful pictures, and dates etc on the stones are so clear that they have answered a lot of questions for me and certainly enhanced all of my memorials in Mt. Olivet.

I believe you are right--Mollie's husband is still living. If you know his first name, I would like to have it for my genealogy records.

Thanks again.

I found that Mollie Davidson Jones already had a memorial and see that you have put her photo on.
The only information I have for her husband is his last name, Jones. Do you happen to have a photo for his stone also? If so, let me know if you have his name, so I can create a memorial for him.

I have added memorial for John Helm Davidson and his wife, Juantia K. Don't know if you have photo for her.

Thanks for everything.

Helm family
Glad to know a fellow librarian.

Everyone I have or will name are in Mt. Olivet.

I have already created memorial for the infant John Helm Robards if you want to put the photo on. I will also create memorials within the hour for the Davidson and Jones you mentioned--Do you have their spouses also? Let me know and I will make memorials for them too.

I esp. want the Cyrus Thomas Helm family that I mentioned earlier as well as Mary N. Helm Davidson and spouse Jas. Franklin Davidson (1839-1922, Mary Frances Davidson Faurot, husband Don Faurot, and infant son, Don Farout, Jr.

I have memorials already with no photos for the following: Sara Richardson (d. 1902); John Lewis Robards; and wife Sarah C. Robards; Archy Crump Robards(d. 3-25-1934); Mabel Helm Robards Bozarth; and spouse, James Rearson Bozarth.

Helm Photos
Hi Kay,
The photos for John B. and Mary Crump Helm are fabulous! Thanks for the stones for the two daughters of John and Amy Helm also.

I want to create memorials for Cyrus Thomas Helm and his wife Kate and daughter, May. And I have info. to create any others in the Helm family plot if you should have the photos. Can you let me know if you have others and who they are?

It's such a thrill to see these pictures. You have made my day!

Helm Photos
Thanks so much for the pictures on Amy Helm!

I created memorials for daughters, Kathryn (#72918869) and Florence (#72918944). Thanks for the info. I did not know their death dates. If you can put their photos on, that would be great.

Do you have any other photos of Helm memorials in Mt. Olivet Cemetery?

Thanks for the great photos on the memorial for John Clinton Helm (#26054482). I have created a memorial for his wife, "Amy" (#72891890). I would greatly appreciate it if you could put the middle photo that is on her husband's memorial on hers.

Thanks so much.

Lewis Smith Grave Photo

Thank you so much for taking the photo of the Headstone for Lewis Smith in the Akers Chapel Cemetery. He was my wife's 3rd great grandfather and we are slowly learning more about her ancestry. From your work we now have a picture of his headstone AND that of his wife, Mary Smith.

Best regards,

Stu and Carol Ann Smith Strong
