RE: Mary Neighbors
Sarah,
I got a correction from another Find A Grave member on Thomas Neighbours and Mary. I had memorials up for them with spellings of the surname like the tombstone...Neighbours. I discovered your memorials when trying to check them out. Your memorials were on first but with the spelling of Neighbor. I need to get my pictures transfered on to your memorials and delete mine. Check out the memorial 117034275. If you will change the spelling to match the tombstone, I will get mine deleted. I also wonder where the birthdate and place came from. I suggest leaving the birthdate and place off and adding it to the bio with a note. Helps to keep the cemetery records accurate. With Thomas according to the History of Greene County....it gives a different birthdate and place. So I am not sure how they know exactly where and when he was born. Someone else added a copy of this page to his memorial....you can read it.
Sorry about the confusion. I always do a search before I add tombstone pictures, but sometimes when the surname is spelled different it doesn't come up in the search.

Is there anyway you have a copy of the probate of Mary Westrope? If so, did she list her family members? I believe she was the mother of Dulcenia who was my ggg...grandma.

RE: James C and John Story
Sarah,

I did not take photos yet. They all have memorials on find a grave, some with photos. I requested the memorial owners to link them with their wives and parents, but, it looks like the owners may not be active.

If you want to see good photos of all four of the headstones go to "Southern Middle Tennessee Cemeteries" site and look for the Salem Church in the Giles County list. The photos were taken by C. Wayne Austin. Wayne spends much of his retirement time locating and documenting old cemeteries.

Marion Hopper
RE: Henrietta Hopper Burriel
Stephen D Hopper, was found in Morgan Co, IL 1880. Census: 1880, Twp 13 N-Range 10W, Morgan Co, IL, ED 176, 10 June, pg 290A, Stephen HOPPER 38m Md farmer IL,KY,KY, Malinda HOPPER wife 40f Md house keeper IN,NC,NC, James WHITLOCK 49m Md farmer IL,KY,KY. This location is just North of Athensville Twp, Greene Co, IL, where his family loved.

I tend to believe the history for Stephen D Hopper, history... I guess we can agree to disagree. I have no other proof than the records, been researching over the years. Seems to fit that there would be a child between... Jasper & Mary Ann. And leave it at that. Are you cousin with Rance Hopper, my late husband? Merry Christmas...Marion

RE: Hiram Martin
I am not related to Hiram. My "hobby" is to collect .jpg images of Confederate soldiers in uniform, have been doing that for years. I was working on looking for the graves of some of the men in the images I have saved and came across his grave and having the picture I figured I would add it!

RE: Transfers
William H. and Martha had 5 children before she died in 1884 (probably in childbirth) They had one daughter born in 1881 who lived to adulthood. Wm remarried and had one son by that wife. So sad to see the baby gravestones. Thanks again.

James Campbell Story
Hi Sarah,

Daniel Vaughn, mbr #47933768.

I was follwing a link for subject individual that took me to his parents memorial managed by you. I much enjoyed the bio you placed on James and Hannah Self Story. However, in your bio you have their sons John and James living and dying in Montgomery County, TN. I do not know about John, but James married Elizabeth Cameron and lived and died in Giles County, TN. They are in the 1840 through 1880 Giles County census records and upon his death in 1881 was buried in the Salem Cemetery, also in Giles County.

My interest in him is that his first daughter, Mary (Polly) Hannah Story was the second wife to my great uncle, Edward Owen Vaughn.

Thank you for your work with Find a Grave and please let us know if we can help out with photos or information from the Middle Tennessee area.

Regards, D Vaughn

Hi Sarah, I will go through my photos tonite and see if there's any I didn't post. Usually I post all that I find, and when we went thru that cemetery we took pictures of all that we found. I usually don't put one on top of someone else's but will if you'd like me to. Take care and thanks for your kind words, Connie :)

Sarah, I hardly think I was complaining and resent you saying such. I said their were double entrys for George and her. There are guidlines on this you know. However, I have much more than either of the entrys and would never never put up another one without trying to either give the information out to the first or asking for them outright. This is supossed to be conducted in a civil maner. Yes, I have all the childrens families.
