RE: Elizabeth Huffman Thomas Jefferson Malone
thanks erin: I see now a direct line from TJ Malone. Sometimes I'm guilty of getting all wound up with dates and relationships and not get the best part, the stories behind. It must have been tough on the kids not knowing. Have a nice day.

Yes it does. Thanks. Relationships get kind of fuzzy for me sometimes and I guess it's strange for a genealogist to say but especially cousin-relationships throw me a little. I was just trying to establish in my mind that far enough back you also come from the line of Alfred Huffman Sr and Sarah Jane Jones Huffman and their 12 "brood" they raised. Big families back in those days. Too bad the civil war and Fulton had to come into the picture for these good people and their kids. I read how you wrote about how the kids didn't exactly know about their parents and I'm sure that made it hard for them. Do you have any idea what family member took the kids in?

Thanks, and have a nice day.

PS I don't know if I already ask you but I've been trying to the grave or any history on one of Elizabeth Huffman Malone's sister, Martha Jane Huffman Sloan. She was born in 1840 and died in 1890 possibly in Douglas Co., MO. She married John Jasper Sloan Find A Grave#16424712 and one of their sons is W H Sloan Find A Grave#53385899 and another son John William Sloan Find A Grave# 69044139. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide. Martha Jane is the only child of Alfred Huffman Sr and Sarah Jane Jones Huffman that I have not found a Find A Grave memorial.

relation to Eliz Malone & descendents
Hi Erin: sorry to keep bothering you.... I was wondering, since you are gr gr gr granddaughter of Elizabeth Huffman Malone and TJ Malone... I'm assuming that makes you a gr gr gr gr granddaughter of Alfred Felix Huffman Sr and Sarah Jane Jones Huffman, right?, and on backward. Next question, I am assuming you are descendent of one of Elizabeth Huffman Malone and TJ Malone's children and if you are would you mind telling me how that descendency comes down. Hope that's not getting to nosey and if you would rather you can e-mail me.
By the way, One of the persons that I was in touch with while running down any relation between TJ Malone and his lineage that I think are related to Molly Malone of Rolla MO is I think the Robert Malone you have listed as a Find A Grave friend.
Thanks from a cousin, Joe Huffman, Rolla, MO 8/13/2014.

Hi Erin,

You posted a photo on findagrave a while back of James Jabash Mathis and his wife, Nancy Felts. Are you in the Mathis family? I'm doing research on them because I am one (lol) and wanted to see if that was just an isolated random photo you had or if you have other Mathis photos?!!

Hope you're doing okay!!

Elizabeth is listed twice I think. One has her headstone's photo. I think I took best of my memory.

Erin,

Thank you for getting out there. I so appreciate you making the effort. If anything actually comes to light, of course I would be thrilled, but it's probably expecting a bit much these many years down the road.

Thank you for all you are doing for everyone!

Erin - I'm so sorry you couldn't get to the cemetery - but at least you got close and now know where it is. Hopefully the gentleman will make it so you can get to it. Do you live in that area? I can't wait for you to get pictures of the Englis stones!! Thanks for all you do and for letting me know! Sandy

Geo Nunnally
Hi again Erin - Melanee found a wonderful WWI book about the soldiers who served from Burt County. I copied the photos and bio for the Nunnally's and found your grandfather. I posted his photo on the memorial site and put it in her tree along with the caption. If you don't want the photo on the site, just let me know and I will delete it. It's quite a kick - he has a cigarette drooping from his mouth! Janice

Erin,
Thank you SO MUCH for taking the photos of my aunt and uncle's graves. I wasn't at all sure that you would find them as I wasn't even 100% sure they were at that cemetery. I selected it based upon where they lived and their Catholic faith. I hope their graves weren't too hard for you to find. I so appreciate this.
Thanks again!
Katie
