Crystal Marler
Interesting facts
After researching the Marler name this is the first time I've come across this link. Love all the info on Alfred Marler and Elizabeth Davis, just not the Alfred I am looking for. :) My Marler's also come from North Carolina but I come the line of James Benton Marler who's parents were Alfred Marler and Julia (Juletta) Parks. Always interesting to me to find more Marler's. Have a great day

Hi Kay. I'm so sorry the photo didn't show up. I have no idea why this happens sometimes but it does. Would you please check the site one more time. I went to the site and the photo is there. If it still doesn't show up for you, I'll delete it and repost. Once again, I'm so sorry.

Thank you, Kay, for the response and for confirming Hezekiah as William's father for me. Genealogy is like putting together the ultimate puzzle.

Went back to cemetery today. Looked up all info again. In the book for Rhea County gives only one, A W Hughes located in French Cemetery. The gravesite is #201, Section 2-C. The headstone photo I placed on his memorial is the only one standing in place. It is so OLD there is really nothing left to read. If you would like me to remove it, I'd be happy to but I can assure you this is the right stone.(the bk. says not dates can be read)
The only other thing I can think of is, if he had a middle name, maybe he was recorded under that at death. If so let me know and I will look up the other name. Keep me informed...Ed

You're so very welcome. I must admit I was surprised to see such fresh roses on the stone and now I understand. If at a later date you would prefer a picture of the stone unadorned, just let me know. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
