RE: Memorial# 58840063

I found the records 10 or so years ago and listed Margaret in 2010. that Record states she was burried at Arcola Cemetery so I beleive the best way to check for sure is send for the records of the arcola cemetery at the Arcola Library or maybe check with the Illionois death records..
Please let me know, but i do not beleive findagrave knows who is burried where untill someone list the person as they rely on the contributer to build there data base..
Take Care

RE: Thomas Dickerson Family
HI Bob,

Do you have the 1860 census for the Thomas Dickerson family? As suspected, they were in North Lewisburg. I found them on HeritageQuest. I see the Find A Grave contributor who posted Thomas Dickerson and his photograph is also a direct descendant and a family bible is mentioned in the biography for him. How wonderful. I've been searching for the Harmon Limes bible for years. He is also buried at the same Quaker Cemetery. He was my g-g-g grandfather. I did all of the memorial postings for the Quaker Cemetery and have visited it many times. So sad that Susan is buried so far away from the rest of her family. It is sad to see her broken little stone there. At least the property has a nice Ohio Historical Society marker on the property. The cemetery is on the same grounds as the old former Quaker Church built in 1879 of old red brick. Is now a branch of the Champaign County Library.

RE: Susan Victoria Dickerson
Hi Bob,

Thank you so much for your latest message and all of the wonderful information you have provided about Susan. I will connect her to her parents. Would it be okay to include your information about her and her family on her Find A Grave memorial? This is the first major break through I've had on someone buried at this almost forgotten little cemetery of truly lost souls; so many of them who died young. Thank you again so much for writing and sharing, Bob.

RE: Regarding Susan Dickerson
Your message:

I noticed on Memorial #17619595 (Susan Dickerson) that her middle initial is listed incorectly. Her middle name is Victoria, according to my family records. Would you please change the middle initial to either "V" or add the middle name. Thank you in advance and for all you do.

Bob Younger

Hi Bob,

Thank you so much for writing. It has been awhile since I posted and looked at this stone even though I have seen it several times. It was difficult to read and I mistook the "V" and thought it might be a "W." back when I posted this memorial in 2007.

You mention you have family records. My goodness, I would be really interested to learn more about Susan because more information could be added to her memorial here. My own g-g-g grandfather, Harmon Limes, is also buried at this Quaker Cemetery. Have you been to visit the Quaker Cemetery in North Lewisburg.

As you can see, Susan stone is badly broken and just lying on the ground. There are several stones like that there. The cemetery is marginally maintained by the village, but still so much more needs to be done.

Do your family records show who T. and H. Dickerson were? Might you have exact dates of birth and death? Susan obviously died young unfortunately. This is a Quaker Cemetery so I am assuming her parents were Quakers. If you know who her parents were and they are posted on Find A Grave, then they can be linked to her via the relationship links. Thank you again for writing, Bob. And, I do hope to hear from you. Some of my records came from earlier DAR stone readings as well.

RE: Richard & Leora Trueblood
Glad to help. Had to make two trips to Assumption, but it was worth it. Their library was very helpful with a map, so I could figure out which cemetery I was walking in, there are three cemeteries connected.

Hello Bob,
Since they are family members, I went ahead and transferred the Bishops to you. My ultimate goal is to connect family with family and since that has happened, they are now under your care.

Thank you Bob for transferring Merle Confer's memorial. All of the links seem to be working fine. Thanks for taking pictures of both Merle's and Norma Confer Bradshaw's gravestones.

RE: Merle Confer
Hello Bob ... When I view Merle Confer's record #100295910, it says at the bottom it was created by Robert Younger on 11/6/2012. I'm unsure who else I should contact. Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Robin has linked their son, Mike Confer, to Merle and Dorothy.

I have sent requested to transfer Annie to you since she is of no relation to me, and you already manage her husband. If I have anyone else who is of relation to you please let me know and I will also transfer them. I took photos of head markers the local cemetery hoping people would be able to find their loved ones on here :)
