I think we have them all now. Thanks to your considerable efforts on our behalf you have united another family. You did way more than you had to. You're the best. Loved working with you. -- Alice

dlk from KS
U.G. Mitchell, Oak Hill, Lawrence
this may be a cousin to me--Dr. Ulysses G. Mitchell, a professor at KU--

if so, he is the son of Mary and Moses Mitchell, was likely born in Bradford IA area, and is grandson of Jake and Sarah Davis Miller (mother's parents)

do you have more info on him? I could try to research this further---

Houston gravesight picture
Dear Mr. Peepers,
Many thanks to you for sending the picture of our ancestor. As an added bonus, our g grandmother is on tombstone also. You are so considerate to go to the cemetery, find grave and then download for us. Can't wait to share this photo with the kids. If you ever have a similar need in California please let us know.

Many regards
Patti and Sam Houston

Earl Hutchinson photo request
Wow! Talk about a dedicated volunteer! Tramping through snow to find a flat stone and brushing away the snow for the picture. Thank you very much for the obvious extra effort you put into getting this picture for me. I really appreciate it.

Thank you SOOOOO much for taking pictures of the Ramseys for me! I am so grateful, as it will be years before I get out that way again.

Elizabeth Lane
Thank you so very much for posting the photo of Elizabeth Lane's tombstone! Not only does it give me her date of death, but it lists her infant son Edward. I had no idea Edward existed until your photo.

Many thanks!

Mary A. Woodard
Hello Mr. Peepers,
Thank you so very much for the wonderful gravestone photos of Mary A. Woodard. That is just what we needed. They are perfect!
My friend that I am helping called Oak Hill this AM and the lady told her there was no one named Mary A. Woodard buried there. She'll call back tomorrow and check again under the spelling of Woodward, which is what the death certificate says that I found this AM on the Missouri State Archives. Again many thanks.

Melissa Blackman
Glenloch-Pleasant View Cemetery
Hi, thanks for writing. I will post it to Pleasant View also, I hadn't thought of that. The information I found at a local library said:

Glenloch Cemetery is located in S. Central in Jackson Township, 6 miles west of Garnett on Highway 31, north side of highway. Also called Pleasant View Cemetery.

It's a lovely little cemetery.

Thanks again,

Strode Burying Ground
Sorry I didn't answer sooner - for some reason I am not getting my emails that there are messages here, even though the box is checked.
Here is a link to a page that describes where the cemetery is at:
According to another researcher, there are still stones standing at this cemetery.

Steve Jones
Kickapoo Cemetery
Just to the west of Fort Leavenworth, Highway 14 goes north from Metropolitan Ave. When it meets Highway 18, go north toward the town of Kickapoo.

Just as Highway 18 starts to curve from north to west just before town, the cemetery is on the right. It's directly on the road and well marked.
