Are you a Purdy? Are you related to a Macaulay?

If you are a Purdy and would possibly like to chat with a Long time Genealogist. Clayton Purdy.
let me know by email and I will send you his info.

If you are related to a Macaulay, please chate with me:-)

I was sending a thank you and saw your name in one of the lower messages. I hope you don't mind.

Sharron Thorla
John Thomas and Deliverance Owen Thurla
I'm a descendant of John (referred to as "Thomas" on his headstone and Revolutionary War records)Thomas and Deliverance are my 4th Great Grandparents. I have a picture of "Thomas" Thurla's headstone taken by my Aunt when she visited Noble Co., Ohio in the 1980s. It is a photocopy of the original and not very clear, but it reads, "Thomas Thurla
born in New England
Served as a soldier in the Revolution
Died Dec. 22 1835
The bottom isn't very clear and I can't make it out.

RE: Campodonico
Could you share what relation the composer was / is to you? Do you know of any historical monuments or markers anywhere in honor of Mr. Campodonico? Do you have any photos of the composer?
Thank You,
Silas Griffin

RE: Campodonico
May I ask what relation your are to the composer Campodonico? I am writing a comprehensive history of Douglas and Agua Prieta and the compiled data I have from my research on Mr. Campodonico will be included. I just don't want anyone trying to take me to court over copyright issues. I have been VERY careful to NOT infringe on anyone's personal information. Find a Grave is a way for people to copyright information. I have information from the Mexican side and from the US side of the border on Mr. Campodonico as composer and refugee from Mexico during the revolution. The research still goes on.
Appreciate your honesty.

The Campodonicos in Douglas
I am a local historian and DHS history teacher. I have researched the Mexican revolution very much in depth here since I started my Univ. of AZ Honors College research project on Civil War veterans in Cochise County. I have a copyrighted database on all Civil War veterans in Cochise (CSA and UNION) including information on the Campodonico family and federals and revolutionaries buried here. Can you please transfer the Campodonico memorials you have on F-A-G to me? I'd really appreciate this so i can continue my research and post what is relevant for the public and genealogy. I've worked on my family lines since 1995.

RE Edna Hawkins Request

I had no problem finding her grave. All Souls is not large by L.A. standards. We have 3 or 4 that are 6-8 times bigger in area and burials. I'll try and get it this weekend when it's sunny.

RE Edna Hawkins Request
I made the trek to All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach Ca today. Edna Hawkins according to office data base is located at Section D, Plot L149. I tried and tried to find it but finally gave up. This place is HUGE, has over 75,000 souls interned there and navigating it is overwhelming at best especially in section C and D. I finally quit in frustration and exasperation. This is why I stopped doing All Souls in Long Beach CA before -it is too exasperating to find your way around. The maps are not very explicit but the office staff will help when they can, and at Christmas time they are very busy.

You might want to include the location of the marker in your request. Someone with much more tolerance and patience than me might want to do it in the future.

I will not be going back to do photos again- way more than I want to volunteer for anymore.

RE: Cullen, Kielich photos
de nada...I knew Bob & Barbara many years ago and had seen their marker before; yes, they were VERY lovely people. Barbara had told me she got that shock of white hair when she learned her mother had died so I knew how close their/your family was.

RE: Kingsburg Cemetery Photos
I also took a photo of a marker for Louise M Fridborg (1921-1927) who was next to Eli Fridborg. If you want me to upload it, you can submit another photo request. Please add a note on the photo request to only let Doug Vaughn claim it.

I corrected the birth information. This is my husband's grgrgrgrandfather and we had the same birth information yoou have as Yorkshire, England. Not sure how the other birth area got on there. My husband manages this account. There is not gravestone for him or his wife.

You're welcome. I didn't see a stone for Hugh, but there are several there that are illegible and/or damaged. I added some other Nickerson photos that may pertain to your research. If you want to take over maintenance of those memorials, I'll be happy to transfer them to you. Next time I'm out that way, I'll take another look for Hugh's stone.
