|Larry Hedrick||headstone photo for Jake V. Wells|
Thanks so much for adding the headstone photo for Jake V. Wells. He was my maternal grandmother's brother. Folks like you who volunteer to work for the greater Find a Grave community are the heart and soul of this wonderful database.
Best Personal Regards,

|JMM||RE: Larkins photos -- West Hill Cemetery|
It is possible that some stones were moved. (There are actually supposed to be 2 Larkins infants buried in that area, Harvey Lee in 1931, listed as Inf of P.H. Larkins, & another infant in 1956.)
All I can do is post whatever info is available onto his memorial page. Thank you for adding the photo.

Thank you very much for taking the stone photos & posting them on the memorial pages of Perry Harvey Larkins & his brother Lester Lee Larkins... and for trying to locate a stone for Harvey Lee Larkins (infant son of Perry Harvey Larkins).

I appreciate that you do, and I do as well. I never hold to the 4 generation rule. I consider family as family no matter how distant the connection. There are many that are equally kind and generous, but it seems to me in my experience, that more lean the other way, so I rarely ask anymore. Having worked on the site for a number of years, I understand the work involved in posting memorials, even entire cemeteries, and more importantly getting the photos up while they are still readable. My area is less populated so there are many small old cemeteries with stones so weathered as to be in danger of being to future generations.
Your work is appreciated.

|Tony||RE: LCpl Robert Louis Polk|
His mother is buried there. Memorial #79558506 and on her memorial it says that her husband was Robert Charles Polk. He was deceased prior to his son LCpl Robert Louis Polk being killed in Vietnam.
Robert L Polk was born in Sherman. I don't know where else he could be buried at.
Those other Polks might be related to him I don't know. I only know about him and his parents.

|Rita Collvins Mayfield||Duplicate memorial|
I am sorry you were offended, but if those who add from death notices in the newspaper or funeral home, have the memorials up before the family has a chance to do so, those of us who like to post our family who are cousins have no other recourse, because numerous of these folks will not transfer. In the early years working the site, we always posted memorials from the stones as we photographed a cemetery. If the stone was there, it was ok to post it. After a while it was decided to refrain from doing so and those of us who still photograph cemeteries no longer post a memorial for those still living.
When my grandson died someone had him on findagrave before we had even completed the arrangements. So you might consider that there could be fault on the other side of the issue, too, and not just blame the folks who care very much about the management of our family members.

|Tommy Neumann||Joe Preston Holder Duplicate Memorials|
I was recently researching the Holder family and found that there are two Find A Grave memorials for Joe Preston Holder, Nos. 62049043 & 129237291.
Yours is listed in a Bishop Cemetery in Hood County, Texas. The other is listed in the Bishop Cemetery in Erath County, Texas. For your information, there is no Bishop Cemetery in Hood County. While Lipan is in Hood County, and Lipan is often listed as the location of the Bishop Cemetery, the actual cemetery is located about five miles southwest of Lipan in Erath County. There are two memorials listed on the Find A Grave website as being in the non-existent Bishop County in Hood County, those of Joe Preston Holder and Chelsa Holder. Both also have memorials among the 43 Holders listed in the actual Bishop Cemetery located in Erath County.
I would suggest that you transfer the great photo of Joe Holder before you close the memorial you created in the Hood County Bishop Cemetery.
Thank you for your service to the Find A Grave website, and I hope you don't consider this as being "pushy" in any way as that is not my intentions.

|Carol Lazenby||Thank you Mr. Hinest!|
Thank you, Mr. Hines, for the lovely tribute to my mother, Allyne Lazenby. It is wonderful to view it on this site and I appreciate it so much.
I am so very sorry that anyone is critical or unappreciative of the work you do. What a blessing you are to families who want to view the cemetery site, see the pictures and read the lovely tribute. I live 250 miles from Brenham and don't get back there as often as I would like! Thank you for helping keep my parents' memories alive!

|Phil & Donna (Stricklan) Whitaker||RE: Gibbs|
Neither one of the memorials Cody Gibbs are mine. I simply noticed the 2 memorials and was letting you know so that you could work it out with the other contributor (which by the way has been a member of Find A Grave for 10 years and has entered only 245 memorials so they probably are not accustomed to working with Find A Grave).
Maybe you could have Find A Grave merge them if you are reluctant to delete yours for whatever reason. Trust me, I have removed plenty after I entered them first just to keep things simple. You are absolutely right - people add memorials and pay no attention to what they are doing. Frustrating I know but that is a fact of Find A Grave and will never change. Anyway, it is none of my business what happens to either memorial. If removing yours will destroy your numbers or whatever your reason then absolutely don't remove it.
Have a blessed day.

Thank you for the transfer. After I started connecting family to Mother's memorial I realized I had already made a memorial for her (Mattie Sue Grant Teague). So I copied your obit & gave you credit for it - thank you. Now before I delete your memorial will you be able to add Mother's pic to my memorial? There was also another memorial but I've asked that one to be deleted since it didn't have any pics or info on it.
