Francisco Martinez in Chaperito.
Mr. Chester,

I made an entry into Chaperito Cemetery that might be a duplicate. My entry is Memorial # 152671452. Is it a duplicate of your memorial to Sgt. Francisco Martinez?

Mrs C Tankerley ID 35250487
Dear D.Chester,
Looking for a death certificate to match Mrs C Tankerley, Find A Grave memorial #35250487, plot: C-9 in the International Odd Fellows Cemetery, Las Vegas, San Miguel County. seems to be a problem. I find nothing. I have an Eva, who was married to Charles Tanksley who changed his name to Tankersley. She died about 1934 in New Mexico (I have been looking for many years), and I wonder if this is her grave. Do you have a record of her death?
Thank you.

thank you for helping me ! My gr grandfather was Charles Henry Sporleder #54006241. Look at his info. He owned the Sporleder Shoe & Boot Co. on 5th and Douglas in or around the Masonic Bldg. I have a great photoof this. Think he was on the school board plus many other things. He was also Grand Master for two years I believe. I know he is buried in plot H-12 You can use my email address to contact me. Judy

cemetery map
Wondering if you know where I can get a map of the Masonic Cemetery, Las Vegas, NM. I will be visiting here in a few months to see my relatives graves. I did find the burial location of each person on line. Is this cemetery opened all the time and who 'manages' it?
Thank you.......Judy Sporleder Davin

Minnie Bell (Hardy) Adams
I don't mean to be a pest about this but you can see that her father's middle name was, in fact, Brewer, simply by looking at the photo of his headstone here on Find A Grave. His full name was carved onto his headstone and shows his middle name was, in fact, Brewer and not Bell (that was his daughter's middle name). His Find A Grave memorial is # 103395898.

Minnie Bell (Hardy) Adams
Thank you for creating the memorial for Minnie Bell (Hardy) Adams. One minor thing I noticed tho was you have her father's middle name listed as "Bell" and his middle name - as I have seen it in several records - was Brewer - not Bell, i.e., Samuel Brewer Hardy rather than Samuel Bell Hardy.

RE: Ida Burris
You are certainly welcomed to add that to her memorial. I was just curious--she is not related to me. I was transcribing obits from some old papers and came across that.

Ida Burris
I found the following obit for Ida Burris in a Leavenworth, Kansas newpaper:

"Died, at 11:00 on Thursday night, Feb. 13th, Ida, eldest daughter of B. L. and Maggie Burris, aged 9 years and four months. Funeral Saturday, the 15th, at the residence of Judge Latta, Cherokee and Broadway. (Leavenworth Bulletin, Feb. 14, 1868)"

Do you know if her body was removed to New Mexico at that time, or was she reinterred at a later date?

James G. Travis (1845 - 1887)
Thank you for posting his memorial (Memorial# 34983180).

James was the son of William Beatty and Mary (nee Gahagan) Travis. He was born in Pennsylvania Aug. 2, 1845 based on the family Bible. A circa 1918 family genealogy said he died in a train accident.

Hope that you and your mother have a great Easter

As per our conversation at the Bank, would you please post the "tombstone" pictures for Helen
O'Brien [1919-2011] and Gloria Trivalos [1932-2010]. They are buried at the Presbyterian Church
Columbarian. They were taken on the same day that
you took pictures at the Episcopal Church.

Thank you.

Order of the pictures on John P. Sellar
Your suggestion to rearrange the order of the pictures on the John Perry Sellar makes sense.

I have a very low tecnology I.Q. I don't think that I have the knowledge to rearrange the order of the pictures with the computers that I use at
the library
