Sherlocks Cousin
Griffith Chapel Cemetery
There are already memorials for 2 of my Johnson relatives in the system (by Russ Pickett in the Williamsville Church Cemetery). I found them tonight looking for a 3d Great Grandfather and Grandmother and find they are listed twice - in 2005 Russ posted them and in 2009 you posted them in the 'different' cemetery. Should we let Findagrave know to merge 3 cemeteries into 1: Williamsville, Williamsville Church and Griffiths Chapel? Take a look and let me know what you think:)

Case Photos
Thank you so much for the photos you take in Barratts Chapel Cemetery. Just about all the Case people buried there are closely related to my Mom.

Esther M Gilbert
Dear Floyd and Patti...I was wondering if you could help locate the grave of my GG Aunt. Her name was Esther M. Gilbert. She was born in Jan 1877 and died in July 1877. I have an Aunt Esther who was named after this little girl, and she is now 82 years old. I would love to be able to show her who she was named after.
I am not sure of the location of the grave...are they grouped by burial year by any chance? Perhaps her parents graves are there too...Benjamin Franklin Gilbert and Sarah Gilbert, both born in 1845, but I do not know their dates of death.
Thank you for any help you may provide...I live here in Florida, or I would gladly look for it.

Headstones at Barratt's Chapel
Thank you so much for filling the request of the headstones of Etta Rentz, my ggrandmother and F Leslie Rentz, my great uncle. I've been working on family history with the passing of my father this past November. This gives me dates for their lives too.
Thank you again!

Thank you so much for taking the Selph tombstone pictures and adding them to their memorials. You FindaGrave volunteers are such a blessing to those of us that can journey to these distant cemeteries.

Alice Slaughter
Thank you for your attempt to find the grave of Alice Slaughter at Silverbrook Cemetery in Wilmington, DE. Alice's death certificate says that buried at Silverbrook. However, her husband Solomon was buried at Riverview in Wilmington in 1949, so I wonder if Alice's remains were moved there. Thank you again for your effort.

Thank You
I have not been able to get on for quite awhile now due to being so very busy. I have had the time now to get on and I have found that you have taken a picture and found my uncles grave. I must say that I am deeply grateful for such a favor. I can't thank you enough but my intention would be to as much as possible. May blessing be upon you for all time for being such good souls. Thanks again so much.

Kate Pitluck
Thanks for the photos. In the last few weeks the cemetery company has been cleaning up some of the cemetery. Lots more than last year. In the beginning of May a group of us are meeting at the cemetery to do some cleaning and taking photos.

Thanks again.

Many, many thanks....
for your kindness to strangers. Would so like to visit some of these family-related sites myself, but age, health and distance preclude that now. Like so many others, I think you're fantastic and am so grateful for your time and willingness to help. M.

Meyer at Mt Moriah, Phili
You both are absolutely fantastic! I went to Mt Moriah with my aunt and uncle in early October and there was so much overgrowth that you could not even walk into some of the sections (in particular, the one that had the graves of the Meyers). We could not locate a headstone for the Meyers because of so much debris and overgrowth, and thought we might never know if it actually was there or not. Tried to go to about 5 other spots in Mt Moriah (for the findagrave) and could not locate any because of the overgrowth. I guess the best time is to go at the end of winter when nothing is growing since they do not maintain the grounds. There is an organization concerned with the condition of the cemetery, if you have relatives buried in Mt Moriah or are just concerned, I can give you that information. Please email me at And, thank you again so much. It means everything!
