Thank you for checking and confirming.

John W Shankle
Please disregard my question regarding John W Shankle. I have found that John W and John N Shankle were both born in Henry or Weakley Counties of TN in the same year about 6 months apart and are not the same person. John N Shankle's parents were Wilson & Sarah Shankle. The only spouse I have found for him was Margaret Morris, d/o Rev. Carroll Morris, and I have found no records for either of them past the year 1900.

Valentine and Wilson may have been brothers or cousin, since they were found in the same areas of TN, early on, but no prove of this.

John W. Shankle
I have a marriage of John N Shankle to Margaret A. Morris, (d/o Rev. Carroll Morris & Mary "Polly Fry in my family tree on Ancestry). This took place 17 Aug 1862 in Johnson County, Illinois--they are found with children on 1870-1900 Census records, and then she passed away sometime after that, either in KY or TN. He then married "Motheral" about 1908, which would make her his 5th wife. Do you think I have the right John Shankle on this record?

Rudloph Fitzhugh Lybrand
Are you related to Rudloph Lybrand, that passed away 23 Mar 1969 and is buried in Grapevine Cemetery? Did He first marry Dovie E Wilson, on the 24th of Dec 1914 in Grant County, before he married Cloie Funderburg 21 Aug 1919.

Rudloph is not related to me but I am researching Dovie E Wilson, daughter of Horace Montgomery Wilson and Catherine Ward Wilson.

Thanks in advance.

RE: New Hope Cemetery

Thanks for checking the memorials. I would still like to know if this cemetery is about 5 miles NE of Gleason off Highway 190. My ancestors are reported to be buried at the New Hope Cemetery at that location, and I just want to be sure this is the correct New Hope before I post memorials for them. Thank you.

New Hope Cemetery
You posted pictures of New Hope Cemetery, Gleason, Weakley County, Tennessee. Is this cemetery about 5 miles NE of Gleason off Highway 190? I am looking for my second great grandparents William C. Whitworth (1826-1901) and his wife Martha Ann (Henley) Whitworth (1831-1905) who are reported to be buried there. Thank you.

I was just wondering if/how you are related to Joe Norris Stafford. He is my maternal grandfather. I noticed that you also had posted a memorial for my late cousin with pictures. Since then it has been deleted. Could you add those pictures to the existing memorial? Thanks.-Adrianne

Thanks, Bob. I am doing some research for a friend who is the dau of Floyd Childress & Iva Lee Jones. I notice you also have a lot of Childress info too. She will be going to ARK the end of this month to speak with the only relative that's left and I'm trying to put together some info for her. Thanks for any help you can offer. MJ

Hi Bob,
You appear to be related to this family. If so, are you aware of any Native American ancestry here?

burials at Everett's Chapel Cemetery
I am researching Arthur and Dovie Brawner White for a 4H genealogy project with my daughter. Their obituaries state that they were both buried at Everett's Chapel Cemetery. Arthur passed April 1947 and Dovie Lee Brawner White passed Dec 1986. I am unable to find them listed at
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

RE: Will & W. C. Scarbrough
I wrote a reply but I don't see it so I'll try again. Can't seem to find the key to delete the duplication. I am sorry if I caused problems for anyone. I made a trip to Weakley County to try to make contact with Scarbrough relations but wasn't successful. Please tell me exactly how to delete the duplication and I will--obviously I succeed in adding a photo of some of the grandchildren of W.C. and Susan Scarbrough. thanks for your attention to this matter and your role in this site.

RE: Will & W. C. Scarbrough
Thanks for your message. I am sorry to have taken so long to respond. I am a wedding minsiter and this is the beginning of my busy season. Also giving a party for my husband's 80th birthday.

I am trying to correct my error but I haven't found a delete function to eliminate the duplication. I have no contact with the Scarbroughs in TN although I wish that I did. If you will be kind enough to walk me through the process of deleting the double listing I would be appreciative.

I was also going to post a photo of my grandchildren who would all e descendants of these two people but couldn't seem to find that function either. I am definitely not camera shy having been in public relations for many of my working years.
Thanks and I shall try to repair this with your help.

My grandmother passed away this past summer and I don't have a photo of her headstone to place on her memorial. Can you please take the picture on his husband's memorial and add it to her's since they share a stone?

W. Andy Jackson
You placed a picture on Findagrave for W.Andy Jackson that shows him with a book in his hand. You said that the picture was made about 1900. Are the other people in the photo family members? I'm doing research on the Union Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church that existed in District 9, Dyer County, Tennessee. W. A. and his brother J.R. along with their mother, Julia A. [sic} and father J.A. Jackson all joined the church by expression on 19 September 1885. If this is not a family picture it could be a picture of members of the Union Grove or possibly Yorkville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

If you can help me, I would appreciate it.
