Mike; We walked the cemetery and found Guy Vaughan's stone adjacent to Amelia and James stones. All three were in close proximity to the Applegarth stone.

RE: John and Josephine McGoon
It's always hard to tell where someone was buried or if there was a memorial at all for them. I have several family members that I created a Find A Grave Memorial, even though the ashes reside with a family member or they were spread some place. You can always change it to Unknown at this time. Don't forget to family link the son to them.

RE: Magoon - Greenwood Cemetery
You're welcome! It's my pleasure. I found those funeral documents online and I've been working through the Greenwood cemetery census book adding names, taking pics and adding funeral records when people used the services of Carey Hand. I've photographed and added all names in that section, H - but hadn't gone through it yet to add records.

Section H is in the old part of the cemetery, in the center. Although it looks sparsely populated, it's full. Many rows are pauper rows, "colored" rows, a county lot, a hospital lot and then on another side there are family plots. I can't recall off the top of my head where Mr. Magoon is located, but the document says he is in someone's plot - which probably puts him on the east side of the section.

Many of the graves there were relocated from the cemetery that was at a church in downtown proper, in the early 1900's. They were marked with cypress markers that were destroyed in the 1930's when a fire swept through the cemetery before it was as well-kept as it is today. So that section appears nearly empty since many of those markers were never replaced.

There is a resident coyote there, and nearly every time I see her, she's hanging out in section H. Not many visitors to that section, so she can watch over the other residents in peace.

I wasn't referring to the McGoon family, I was referring to Josephine's family.

RE: McGoon Family
What I think I would do and I have done before with my family graves, is I will created a memorial, but rather than choose burial, I will select other. Then I will select the option recent death, location unknown, or cremated ash location unknown. That way you can link everyone together, and once you have the information as to where they are buried or cremated you can update their status at that time. Maybe even put a note in the note section stating that the status will be update upon additional information at a later time. I searched on Find a grave for both these two memorials and they did not come up in a search, so you aren't creating a duplicate memorial.

RE: Daniel Wilson Caledonia, ND
Do you do other civil war vets besides Traill Co.? I have run across several other headstone markers of other civil war vets but they are in different counties. Do you want me to forward any others that I run across? Interesting to think that were fighting 150 years ago. What is the civil war vet site, I would like to see it.
