Good detective work! The only thing I have a problem with is Luie/Lucy. Since the stone and her daughter's obit says "Luie" I will stick with Luie. In the past I had a stone that said Rahel and thought it was Rachel. The more I researched the more I realized it was Rahel not Rachel. We tend to try to make things fit our ideas.:-)

He is my great great grandfather. AJ Walker > Charles Henry Walker (Who fell off the face of the Earth) > Goldie Jewel Walker > My dad > me.
In the photo are AJ Walker, Almira Walker and son, Sam Criner Walker.
If you have any info on Charles Henry Walker - do share! I'm from his second family - I believe he abandoned his first family, then did the same to the second. Rumor has it that he got into trouble and just took off, never to be heard from again...
I believe my parents have the original photo. I've added it again, and it's larger, plus I'm emailing you a copy.

|seekerJay||Northrup & Benham|
I see that you left a message on Melissa Arco's member page thanking her for taking family photos at the Northrup Ground in Lithgow, Dutchess County, New York. I wonder if you know anything of Samuel Northrup (1772-1835) and Mary Benham (1780-1860), grandparents of mine? I have a lot of questions about Mary and doubt that she is really the child of Desire Beecher and Ebenezer Benham. Any insight would be appreciated. All the best, J

I have transferred your mothers memorial page to your care, yes I have been entering the obit notices for the Pueblo Chieftain for just about 2 yrs now and also have links to several of the funeral homes, I volunteer at the Rawlings Library Special Collections Sections where we have all the Pueblo Chieftains from the late 1800,s there is an obituary index on the library website which we are busily updating and as part of my adding the items to Find A Grave create an index for use at the library, in addition we are also working on a birth index which hopefully will be availble sometime in the future.

Hi Cheryl, You're very welcome. I sometimes take photos of stones that are very damaged before they're gone forever and had taken the photo the last time I was there. Was hoping to see that I had Hannah's too, but don't. If someone else doesn't get it, I'll get out there in a few weeks. Mary

Hi Cheryl -- You are welcome!
I will get son Will my next trip out there. He is buried with wife Ann K Harris. If you want me to photograph her marker also, just place a request. I do not automatically post a spouse's marker photo unless someone has requested it. With multiple divorces now days, it hits some people the wrong way seeing the marker for say....a step-mother they did not care for, etc. I will put the photo up eventually, just not right away unless it is requested.
I'll claim the photo requests when I get ready to head out there, so don't worry if you see it unclaimed for a while. Should head out there in 2-3 weeks unless a flood of requests come in. This cemetery is a little out of the way for me.

Hi Cheryl -- Ahhh.....It was about 100 degrees when I was there taking the photo. Has been here for the past month. Today it may actually drop below 100. We are in a drought, as is the rest of TX. This cemetery is actually in pretty good shape. It is green, and it is watered frequently. Many of the other cemeteries in the area have only sand and fire ants. -- Laurel
