Confused Cemeteries
There are two large cemeteries in Phillipsburg. Fiarmount Cemetery is located on Belvidere Rd. The Phillipsburg Cemetery (which is where my Sigafoos relatives lie buried is located on Filmore St. between Irwin St and Railroad Ave. Please try not to confuse the two sites.

I double check on, when updating my Family unit chart. and some of the information is from wills and the archives in Trenton NJ. Susan Burroughs( John and Rhodas daughter) married John Smith, 17 Jan 1811. Elizabeth Burroughs (Susan's niece)Married John M Cook Jr, 24 Nov 1842. When you get a chance, go to, thats were I got the information for, John S Cook marrying Elizabeth Quigley 4 Oct 1826, I also checked the census in order, I think I sent you the list. I believe that Elizabeth Burroughs Cook had a daughter Lizzie (Elizabeth). Check the census for John S cook and Elizabeth Quigley, If you can not find the info, I will try to send it to you. Thanks so much for your time and effort. Merry Christmas

RE: grave of Thomas Barber and wife
Hi! Thanks! I had tried looking for an explaination for that, and could not find any. Glad you could answer!
I have just discovered the Barbers in my tree. I am descended from Thomas through his daughter Elizabeth, who married George Nace (Nase). I have known about her son for awhile, who was named Thomas Barber Nace, and just 'knew' the Barber was another family name. I was not expecting to find a Patriot, but always glad to! Do you know anything more about his service or life?
My research so far on Thomas Barber's family has just begun. So far I've looked at trees online, but having a hard time verifying with sources. Most trees point that Thomas' father was John Barber Esq 1720-1777, but from there, I have seen conflicting information, and hope to prove one or the other without too much trouble. Most trees agree that Thomas' mother was Margaret Perrine(1737-1825), which I tend to accept given the name Perrine got handed down to their children. But I have not yet tried to find her ancestors.
If you would like to stay in touch for swapping info, just let me know!

grave of Thomas Barber and wife
I have a question about a grave you took a picture of, and I'm hoping you can help me. You say the grave of Thomas Barber and his wife are in the basement of Harmony Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg, Warren County NJ.
I am just curious if you happen to know why the graves are in the basement. Is there a story about that?
I have traced my mother's line back to them, they'd be my 6th great grandparents.
Thanks, Sandy
