Lucy Voorhees
Hello! I just added a record for Lucy Voorhees in Griffin Cemetery in Benton County, In. She died 02/24/1875. Daughter of John and the letter is either an E or G. I'm wondering if you have been looking for her? I have a picture of the stone. The number is 146495749. We didn't have any Voorhees listed in Benton County until now.
Hope I helped you! JOhn

I'm trying to verify that Viola Alice "Pixley" Brant's mother was Lydia Voorhees. I believe that Viola married Jesse J. Brant in 1900 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Jesse was the son of Simeon and Elizabeth Brant who were my wife's gr-gr grandparents. If I can provide anything us please let me know. Sincerely Bill Penner

Allen Solheim
Family Relationship
Hello Jerianne:

My wife is Dorthy Solheim, daughter of William an Ottila Pahl of Kulm, North Dakota. My father-in-law was a brother to Christine [Pahl] Balliet.

We have lost all contact with this branch of the family and are trying to re-establish that contact. Knowing you are William and Christine's granddaugher, I am hoping this reaches you and that you can follow up with a return email.

I have a couple of reasons for wanting to make contact, one, just to get updates on this part of the family. We are planning a large Pahl reunion in Aberdeen over the weekend of July 4th, 2015, and many already responding. Would like this branch of the Pahl's to be aware of that reunion.

Also, thirty years ago I wrote the original Pahl family history book, and would like to update that material.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sorry, I misspoke. David was indeed living in IN (I have him there in 1850, as well). Guess I don't have anything to help you out - don't know where Phoebe or Lydia are buried, and can't find out where the kids ended up. Sorry. Thanks for posting your information online.

I noticed with interest the grave of David Voorhees that you have posted. His daughter, Lydia, was married to one of my Preston family (Alva L.). Do you know where David's wife, Phoebe, was buried or why he happened to be in Swan when he died, since he lived in OH?

I found Emily wife of John. I did not see the other Pixleys but there was a funeral so I was only able to get to one side of the cemetery. I am hoping to get back up there this week so I will look. Emily was born in 1857-1936. If you add her let me know and I will add her stone.
