Photo uploaded. Any idea how Ann Brower (#69504528) fits in? Is she Margaret Brower Rumel's mother?
I've been systematically photographing the Sunnyside and Melrose sections of the cemetery. Any idea what sections the others you're looking for are in?

|Jenn O.||Rumel - Arlington Cemetery|
I just uploaded a photo for Theodore (d. 1901) and Margaret (d. 1880) Rumel at Arlington Cemtery. The other side of the monument lists Ann Brower (photo uploaded to existing memorial), as well as Willie Rumel and Laura Rumel.
Laura appears to be Theodore and Margaret's daughter. Willie is perhaps Theodore's brothers. I'm guessing Laura and Willie were removed from Mutual Family Cemetery to Arlington, but didn't want to add the photo to your memorials at a different cemetery.
What do you think? Do you want to change the cemetery for these individuals?

your headstone photo for memorial #30859700 is a duplicate and doesn't appear to be of better quality than the headstone photo posted prior to your contribution.

Could you double check your records on the cemetery referenced in the memorial section? Our family has multiple references showing she and Benjamin are buried in the Deweyville Cemetery.

You mentioned that mabel McPheters is a nember of your family - however long ago that might have been. Would you like management of her memorial page? I dont mind keeping her, but I believe family should be with family. -Theresa

No I haven't. I don't even know where John was buried. I think John was a husband. And had nine children. I did fine where Annie Sroufe was with her & a John in 1880 in Illinois. Annie was 10 yrs.

You asked me for a picture and I hit fullfil but was at the Sigler stone and posted it... Sorry, I don't remember who the person was you were asking for. It was from Old Carrolton in Carroll Co., Iowa and it was NOT Melissa. Can you help me track that down so I can delete it and when I come across the Umbaugh's I will load them.

|B.J. Waters||RE: Lucille Holman|
Yes, I noticed the year was different. Sometimes the person who does the "reporting" for the death certificate is wrong! And, sometimes the engravers are wrong. Here is the website for the L.A. County Registrar/Recorder. There are instructions for how to order an "informational only" (non-certified) death certificate: http://www.lavote.net/Recorder/BDM_Records.cfm
Also, as a relative, you may be able to get information directly from Inglewood Park. There may be a fee involved. If you click on the link to their website (see the Findagrave page for Inglewood) it tells you how to get info under "Genealogy". I hope this helps.

You're welcome. That is why I think you could benefit from ordering a copy of her death certificate. Maybe her ashes were scattered, if she were cremated? Don't give up the search. I get the feeling she wants you to find her.

I found Lucille, but her mother is definitely not there. Lucille is in the Inglewood Mausoleum, and I will include a photo of the hallway so you can see what the area looks like. The caption will include where her niche is located in the photo. Good luck in finding her mother.

Hello. I have claimed your photo request and have taken note of your "note" regarding a burial location for her mother. I will check, but if the cemetery staff told you she isn't there, she probably is not. Our Dept. of Health regulations state that every burial in a cemetery must be accounted for, and this is a very good (and very big) cemetery. I will try to locate her, if there is any chance she actually is here. You mention that you have been trying to locate her for years. Do you have a copy of her death certificate? Our death certificates indicate the "disposition of remains", i.e., burial location or cremation, etc. Let me know if you need info on how to obtain it, if you desire. I will let you know tomorrow night what I find at Inglewood.

|Carol||RE: Merivin or Merwin|
Before I go out to the cemetery to fill a photo request, I always check the VA gravesite locator(on-line). As with Eugene, the plot location information was incomplete in the memorial. (The complete location is GHT 363). I found no Eugene Merwin, period,...only a Eugene Merivin in a plot 363. I don't even pretend to believe that the VA records are perfect, but it is the best information I have. I guess there were a couple of occasions when information was downloaded from the VA records to Find-A-Grave and the number of incorrectly spelled names is heartbreaking. Even if you didn't see the tombstone or look at the VA records, you can tell the spelling in some memorials in Find-A-Grave is wrong. As I find the errors, I've asked Find-A-Grave to make a correction. Apparently they actually did with Eugene. Am I 100% positive that Eugene is a Merivin and not a Merwin, no. But the only Eugene I found in that cemetery in a plot 363 is identified as a Merivin. I want the information in Find-A-Grave to be as correct as possible. If there is something I/you/we can sort out or correct, let me know.
