Just give me the address or the road it is on. I will look it up on Google Earth.

Crossroads
Thats OK It isn't your fault. I just thought you might remember that photo location. Someone put both churches at the same location on the map.

It could also be the "old" location of the Crossroads church. But the white wood church is probably the current location. I just can't find any reference to its location??

Thanks for your help. Theron

Cemetery Photo
You took the cemetery photo for the Crossroads Baptist cemetery. It is a white wood church at an intersection. Where was that picture taken? It was not at the location you gave me.

That is currently the Alto Congregational Church and cemetery in Banks County. It is a brick building.

The map is incorrect
No, That is the Alto Congregational Cemetery. That is what the map says but it is incorrect. That is a brick church. I was there and took those photos and they match up with Alto Cong. Cemetery. I am looking for the white wood church in the picture you took for Crossroads Baptist.

If you use Google Earth you can see the churches from the street. But I don't have the correct address for the Crossroads Baptist.

Also that church is actually in Banks County, not Habersham...

Memorials
I think most memorials have been created from "lists". There are lists they obtain from churches, funeral homes, libraries, historical societies, newspapers, on line and who knows where else. I don't think many people take the trouble and expense to walk the cemeteries. That is why most memorials don't have photos by the original creator. They were never there. You and I are in the minority!!

That would explain their reluctance to give DNA samples... confirmation of their fear of who they're related to. Lol.

Keelings at Zebulon
Well, I've done as much damage as I think I can do. Some of them I have no record of. There are three different lines of southern Keelings starting in Virginia and the records are extremely murky there. No has been able to sort all of them out in over fifty years. There's a distant cousin in GA whose been working on that project for the last few years using DNA, with little success. People are afraid to cooperate, apparently. It's only spit for Pete's sake! Anyway, I await my award. Another cousin wants to know if it will be televised.

Yes. My maternal grandmother was Maude Segars Varner. She married Thomas Olin Varner. I grew up close to my mother's side, the Varners, visiting them regularly in Banks, Jackson and Franklin counties. Great times!

Yes, I am related to both. My maternal Grandmother was a Segars (Maude Segars Varner) and she married Thomas Olin Varner. I enjoy going to the different cemeteries and locating descendants' graves but it's very time consuming.

Apparently findagrave will allow anyone to upload a photo to an existing memorial but I can't remove it unless I'm the owner of the memorial, which I am not. Maude Varner was my grandmother. Since her first born died at birth, I guess I assmued it would be appropriate to add a picture of his grave to her memorial. Would you like me to ask the owner to remove the picture of Harold's tombstone?
Best regards

I'm sorry about that, I didn't realize someone had already created it.. Once my brother and I get the tombstone, I can take a pic of it and post it on there.. can my grandparents and my mom be linked to him?
