Mrs. Slater #54136755
Dear Malcolm:
I am researching a Grace Katherine Blake Slater; born approx. 1885 in Indiana and last record I have on her is when she filed her husband's will for probate in Burleson, TX in 1941 (he died in CA in 1921). Earl Robert Slater and Grace did not have any children. Through various web searches I came across your Mrs. Slater. I am not able to find a phone number to call Point Bolivar Cemetery, do you perhaps have any information you might be able to share.
Thank you so much for your time and trouble.
Pam Jackson

Reply to: Kozlek #43476874
Hello! Malcolm,

I'm replying back to Your message, that You left on Our Simpton & Shaw Find A Grave profile page. You asked Us where We found the information for the burial location for Ellen (Branton) Kozlek (Memorial #43476874).

Ellen Kozlek's Obit states:

Ellen died on Aug. 15, 1898 and was buried in the Old Bolivar Cemetery in Galveston Co., TX.

I sent the whole Obit info to Your Yahoo email address but received a reply back, which said that I had the wrong Malcolm Comeaux. If You still would like to see the info on Her Obit, I'll be more than happy to forward it to You.

Please email Me directly at: and put "Kozlek" in the subject line, so I don't think its junk mail and delete it. Thank You!

We hope You and Your family members were spared from the serious damage, that was caused by Hurricane Ike. We were all sad to see and hear the news, about all the damage and loss on the Bolivar Peninsula and on Galveston Island, where some of Us, were born.

Thank You for doing this favor for Us! We really do appreciate Your time and help, that You've put into Your Find A Grave memorial pages. Keep Up The Good Work!

Thanks again!
Thanks again for allowing Us the pleasure of recording some of the family information, We have on Our Simpton and Shaw ancestors. My 80 year old mother-in-law is going to be very happy to hear the news and see her ancestor's tombstone photos.

We feel so lucky, that You used Your volunteer time to find, visit and photograph the tombstones at the Simpton cemetery and the Simpton and Shaws at the Port Bolivar cemetery. You did a great job at taking these photographs and recording them onto Find A Grave.

My mother-in-law and husband were born and raised in Galveston. They moved to CA, in late 1946 but my mother-in-laws parents and only sibling, stayed and are buried at the Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Now, that We're all retired, We may never be able to afford to make the trip back to Galveston Co., to take these photographs Ourselves.

Thank You for volunteering Your time to help others!

Port Bolivar Cemetery ancestors
Good Evening! Malcolm,

Yes! We've noticed that my mother-in-law is related the Shaw's, Simpton's, Caroline (Simpton) Dunbar and her sister, Martha (Simpton) Schreiber (Owned by another member), who are buried at the Port Bolivar Cemetery.

My mother-in-law's maternal great grandmother was Russell Mc Connico Shaw and her husband, James Langham Shaw is, also, buried there (Owned by another member).

Would You consider letting Us manage the memorial pages, listed above, that You own?

We can help out by updating some family information on them. If its too much trouble or We're asking for too much, don't worry about doing it. We're so Thankful to You, for allowing Us to manage George and Helen Simpton and their little grandson, Leslie Simpton memorial pages.

I'm sorry but I gave You some wrong information about Little Stewart, who is buried at the Simpton Cemetery. He was the son of Stewart Jesse Shaw. Father Stewart Jesse is the son of George and Helen's daughter, Edith Emma (Simpton) Shaw.

Thank You again from the Simpton and Shaw
