Thanks so much for creating the memorial for Katherine. Her husband William was great grandson of Davis Hensley. My husband is 4X great grandson of Davis.

Another question, I'm afraid! I just added Norma Jean Wescott Kruse 135405794 and attached her as a daughter of Sylvester. Again, I added what I could find, but isn't much. If you know more about her or want a transfer, please let me know. Thanks!

Thought you would be a good person to ask about this, though I know you're busy for a few days!
When you get time, there is a D Yvonne Howard, #135402663, 1942-2004, buried in Eastlawn next to Lawrence & Dorothy Howard. I'm assuming they are her parents, but I can't seem to find anything about her, not even a SSDI record. If you have for info about this family, please let me know. Or as always, I'll be happy to transfer.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I see you have filled several of my additional photo requests, I really appreciate the time, care and quality of your efforts. It is so important to get these old stones "captured" for the generations to come. This site youd the volunteers are providing a wonderful service.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to go to the cemetery and take the headstone photo for me. I know it takes a lot of time to locate those stones!
Have a great week,

I appreciate you letting me know. I guess I assumed she was buried in the same cemetery as her mother and brother, since there was no memorial for her first husband at the time I created her memorial and her husband, Lawson Frazier is buried in Milan.

Thank you for posting the several marker photos I requested, they are excellent, nice and easy to read. I thought the Jagger heart monument was unusual. I was happy to get your note about how well maintained this cemetery is. I appreciate that you made the long trip to get these.

|June Standley||RE: Hale Memorial Gardens|
Follow Highway 139 north out of Hale (the main street)going north & south through town. The road goes in a general north direction, then makes a sharp left hand turn in the road back to the west for just a short ways. When the road (blacktop) turns north again, you keep going west on the gravel road. Hale cemetery is right at the intersection on the SW corner. Follow the road on west to the top of the hill and you will find Hale Memorial Gardens. You have to be almost there before you see it because all of the stones are flat. I went to Hale Cemetery many times before I found Hale Memorial Gardens, so don't feel bad about missing it. It's not very large. I even had a map and still didn't see it. Hope this helps.

Nancy is awesome! She obviously does a lot!
I'm mostly working on my mom's side of genealogy, but trying to work on my dad's a little too. My dad has done TONS of research, I will see what I can find out for you.

|tbickellb||RE: Henry Foster-Keytesville Cemetery|
Oh, Annita, this is wonderful. You have found Henry Foster, Matilda's husband. The "around 1900" was simply a guess date. His birth date was an average of ages on various census reports - all of them slightly different. I cannot thank you enough for this correct information!

|tbickellb||RE: Henry Foster-Keytesville Cemetery|
Henry Clay Foster, who was married to Matilda, appeared with her in the 1880 US Census. That being said, it's odd that the Henry O. Foster you found who died in 1875 is buried next to Matilda. Henry did not have an uncle Hmmm. I don't know what's going on. But Henry C. Foster was definitely in the 1880 census. Could the date be wrong on the cemetery register?
Thanks for working on this.

Do you know for sure they are the same person?
I will check with the Elliott Grove Cemetery Board. They have them listed seperate. The year dates are the same.
Thank you for catching this. Thanks also for any help you can give me. I appreciate it.

|tbickellb||RE: Cora (Walker) Carter|
You're welcome. I'm happy to be able to pass along the links. Especially so since Cora had a sister, Nora, who also married a Carter and they are often mistakenly combined into one person. Thank you for the offer to transfer, but it is not necessary. I have no more information that I can add to the memorial.
