Glenn,

I see what you are saying, I do know that Joseph was her 2nd husband's last name and the family wanted to honor it and placed it on the headstone. My best friend is Bertha's granddaughter and she explained it to me, it is also mention in her obit that Joseph was a formerly last name. But, I thank you for noticing it.

RE: Henry D Warren

I knew I liked you :) I am descended from Richard's daughter Elizabeth/Richard Church > Joseph Church/ Mary Tucker > Mary Church / John Wood > Mary Wood/ Lt. Thomas Bailey > John Bailey / Mary Wheaton > Deborah Bailey / Philip Gray > Scynthia Gray/ unknown > Sophia Gray/ Capt. John Sowle > Merchia Sowle/ David Crapo > Alma Crapo/ Hugh Jamison Potts> Earl Crapo Potts/ Gladys kyle Fox > Raymond Earl Potts( My beloved daddy)

We were in New England last fall . We love photographing and photographed both cemeteries in Little Compton where so many of my ancestors are. It is quite amazing. We also photographed Westport Point Cemetery where my Capt. John Sowle is buried, along with some of his children and their families. I located Sophia his wife hidden in a bramble bush next to him.

Esther Hillard
Hi,

I do private duty sitting for Jane (Plocica) Bis. She worked for Miss Hillard and always speaks well of her.

She asked me to browse the internet for pictures of Fall River, MA, the Hillard's, and the home that she cleaned for Miss Hillard.

Would you by chance have anything that would make Jane's day as she journeys down memory lane? Miss Jane is 97 and that would really make her day!

Thank you so much,

Carree

Very nice Glenn. Good job. I am descended from Richard Warren, of the Mayflower, so perhaps Henry is a distant cousin, I am also descended from Jonathan Russell 1665 and his wife Hasadiah Smith.
Feel free to request memorials you would like to manage.

Thanks, Glenn! I really appreciate the picture! I notice that the grave lists "FATHER"---were there any other nearby graves that seemed like relatives (last name Ferriae or Farias)?

re: my managed memorials

Hi Glenn,

Thank you for the information you've been providing for various folks resting at Harmony Grove. I do not notify each time I update, but it usually takes me only a day or two to make the revisions to memorials when it is requested that I do so.

Best,

John Glassford

RE: Adolph Dressler, et al, Woodlawn Cemetery
On a hunch, I ran the name de Long. It did not bring up the Lieutenant Com. name (George W) but rather a Emma DeLong. I then searched for the master list of everyone buried there and found the commander along with 14 other people.

Buried in 1882 are:
George W. deLong
Henry H. Knack
Walter Lee
Neils Ivorsen
Adolph Dressler
Carl A. Gortz

If you repost these names I will photograph them tomorrow. They all appear to have a individual headstone but they still do not register in the system. Go figure.
Maryann

P.S. Pardon my ignorance, but what is the Commander known for?

RE: Adolph Dressler, et al, Woodlawn Cemetery
I am a Bronx volunteer who has finally reduced the backlog of requests for Woodlawn down to about 1/2 dozen. I work with the historian there who is vastly overwhelmed.

I have passed that sculpture, taking pictures for others, many times and admired its beauty. When I go back tomorrow I will look and see if the names are on a memorial there. Sometimes, these multiple burials/transfers are handled differently in the system and I agree with you, the article certainly leads the reader to believe they are buried there.

I went to the records. The photo of his stone is up, but as you know we can not add those photos. I hadn't looked at the photo of the stone before. So I added the info from the stone.

RE: Henry D Warren

The one I have listed is the same one you found. I have added to his memorial what is written on his stone. The listing comes from RI Historic Cemeteries.
