Hi - I have some photos of Ketchum family graves from Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville Michigan. I would like your permission to post them, instead of assuming that it's ok. I have Delilah, Ellen, Lawrence, Lillian, and Theodore. I also have a photo of the whole family plot. I can either post them to the individuals or send them directly to you via email.

RE: Mt. Tabor Cemetery
Just a quick word about the Ilers. They are scattered through several cemeteries in Morrow County. The spellings are varied, sometimes barely recognizable. Look for Oilers, when you search. If you send a private e-mail from my home page with the names of your Ilers, I'd be glad to keep an eye open for them. Janis

RE: Mt. Tabor Cemetery
God will certainly bless you for your kindness. We've often wondered whether our labor benefitted anyone. You have been a tremendous encouragement. We "specialize" in abandoned cemeteries, especially the thousands of women and children who have never been transcribed for any of the books.

Mount Tabor was such a stopping-off point (not many families actually stayed in that area), that it was difficult to find the parents and spouses of many of the people buried there. The books are so incomplete. For instance, 41 names from the book had been listed at Mt. Tabor. By the time we were done, there were 198 memorials on Find A Grave; and that doesn't count the large amount of headstones which are no longer there.

If you have any other folks in Morrow County, let us know. Your note has lifted us up to get out there and keep adding even more memorials and photographs. Thank you so very much for your lovely note!

Bonnie, Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph this grave site. Researching these Michigan Stoughtons has been a royal pain for some time now and every marker that is photographed there helps to clear up the puzzle a little bit at a time. Your photograph is very much appreciated!!!!!

Norm Nelson
City View Cemetery
Hi Bonnie,

Please excuse me for chiming in on this cemetery in Logan.

As a native of Logan and surrounding coal camps I've spent a good deal of time in the last 3 years trying to read and photograph cemeteries in the area.

I was on High St. this past weekend and did take some photos of the cemetery you're referring to.

I'm currently networking with some folks and we're trying to determine the historical name of this cemetery. I did find death records for 6 of the burials there but, none of them identified the cemetery by name. I do not believe this one is City View Cemetery for multiple reasons.

City View or City View Terrace is a community on the opposing hillside. Due to time constraints I did not go up to City View but, I do plan on going back hopefully before the snow flies.

I will post burials just as soon as I am confident as to the identity of the cemetery/cemeteries.

Would you know of Merwin Clarence Ketchum son of Birdette "Bert" Corneline Ketchum and wife Carrie Maud Kinnie? I was wondering if you knew Merwin's wife and children. Merwin 1914-197 is the youngest of 7 children.
