Re: Photo Request for Martha Wilkinson
Office said her marker is not there because it was reordered. I tried twice this week to verify but it has a lock and the office wasn't opened both times. Kept the request up, put in plot so that at some point it can be fulfilled.

Am wondering just how our family hooks into the
Alton Eliga Ashby family.I know they are related, but via which one? I have known this family for years...have been trying to find out which one of the Ashbys they come from?

RE: George and Mary Ball Chilton And George Chilton their son
You're very welcome for the pictures. They are my grandparents too. The location of the cemetery is at the old Chilton farm, where George Chilton moved to from Virginia. It's over 160 acres. Well not anymore, but still pretty big.

This is a cemetery on private property, so you must get permission from the owner of the farm. The guy I talked to there was Reggie Brown. His dad I believe later came while we were on cemetery grounds, so his dad might possibly be the owner of the farm. Anyways, the address

5110 Turner Station Road
Turners Station, KY 40075-7341

When you drive down Port Royal-Turner's Station Road (Hwy 574) you come to a road called Brown Road. There is a house there on the corner way off the road. You have to drive up a long driveway. (take a truck or something with 4 wheel drive, it got kind of rough in our little car but we made it nonetheless) The cemetery is NE of the house and probably around 2000 feet from the road. It's protected by barbed wire fence in the shape of a square with a bunch of trees inside the cemetery because there are cows all over the land around it.

I will have to try and research sometime for you on Nancy Chilton. She's in my family tree on ancestry, but I've not researched that are of the tree really due to other interests. But would be happy to try to do that at some point.

Glad you enjoy the pictures!

RE: William F Ashby and Nancy Schwarz Ashby
Yes, Betty, you can use my photo in the way you described, thanks for asking. The Ashby's grave marker is memorable to me because it's one of the relatively unusual "upright" monuments in this cemetery. The great majority of the cemetery is limited to surface markers. Perhaps more than you wanted to know, but possibly an interesting factoid for you. (-: -Amy
