|Kevin Finch||RE: Chester Griffith|
Thanks Leo. I live close to Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, in Ventura. I have been on a quest to find the members of the Griffith family that I have in a 1898 photo of the family, taken in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Three of them are buried at Ivy Lawn. Chester's father William Jasper Griffith, and two of Williams sisters, Abbie (Griffith) Powers, and Sallie "Eva" (Griffith) Prentice. Its been fun tracking them all down.

Can I ask you where you got the photo of Chester? His grand parents are my Great great grand parents. I am always looking for photo connections to family. His Aunt Ella is my great grandmother.

I just put up pictures for her. As you can see, there are also gravestones for Ellen Harvard (1897) and John Harvard (1872) [her parents?]. If you want create memorials for them, I can put up pictures that I took for them too.

for transferring the Grooms entries, Very much appreciated. Do you happen to know what all the dozens of graves are that are covered in slabs of granite? I've never seen anything like those anywhere. I had heard there's the myster of the really old one, but what about the other 100 or so? Thank you again!

|Joel Shore||RE: Van Lare family|
Great...I'll post photos up.
As for Floyd Grannis (1884-1923), he's buried elsewhere in the cemetery. (You can see what his stone says here: http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/mthope-bb-singles-a.htm) If you create a memorial and submit a photo request, I or another volunteer could get a photo.

|Joel Shore||Re: Photo request for Van Lare's and DeGroote|
I just fulfilled these photo requests. Note that you have Mary DeGroote assigned to the wrong cemetery: She is actually at Mt Hope, near Isaac and Josina Van Lare (different quarter of the same lot). (The notation in the interment records seems to indicate she was reburied there several weeks after the original burial.)
I also found other family members in Lot 235 of Range 8. The "Alice Reid" shown on the plot map right next to Isaac is Alice Van Lare Reid (1884-1945) and her (presumed) husband is Charles B. Reid (1871-1927). I took photos if you want to create memorials.
Then, there is also Carrie Van Lare (1890-1942) buried in a third quarter of that same lot. Again, I took a picture.

Could you remove the stock cemetery photo so I can add a photo of M Usina to your memorial? Thanks CJS

There are two Find A Grave Memorials for Clarence. The other one, which was just created, is at Memory Gardens in Victoria, Texas. I know Victoria is where his family is now living. This memorial has a picture of his grave. I think you have him buried in the wrong cemetery.

Hello James wasnt sure if you received my message on your email, Re: Chester's father (William Jasper Griffith), being My greatgrandmothers brother, and the links to family I have added.

Actually, Elizabeth is buried WITH Wallace and the marker does not have her name on it. I left that note along with the photo (If you look at the photos tab you will see the note). If you don't want it there, please let me know and I will remove it :-)

Thank you for the additional information on Thomas Shanks in the Italian Cemetery.
I got the majority of the memorials in that cemetery to fix because they were abandoned and now I'm digging my way out. I appreciate all the help I am getting from other contributors.
Would you like me to transfer the memorial to you?

He was the director of the paleontology program at the University of Nebraska for many years. There is quite a lot of information available for a bio.
I have added two photos to the memorial and would like to take over management if you are willing.

|Ken Snyder||RE: Montz|
I'm sorry. I don't have a photo of the plot itself. If there's no marker, I don't normally take a picture. The only photo I took in the area is the one of the marker for James S Montz, which is the same as the one that you already have posted for him.

James, Thanks, I've added the info & also noticed while looking for Swogger that I had her also under that last name from the Pawnee obit pages. It had her parents as James & Martha Pyle Richardson, I had no luck finding them in other states yet. A daughter is Mattie Wheeler also there. Who was you wanting looked up at the library, I might be able to find them. Luella

James, Would you mind if I add your info from her first husband, Jacob Swogger, to her memorial? I would give you the credit. Are her parents the Richardson in Pleasant Valley or do you know? I would rather have her other husband's names just on her memorial, Find A Grave said that's what we should do unless they used the hyphen, the way I understand it. Luella
