|Beverly Kane||Chalmette National Cemetery|
I am trying to locate a gravesite for a local soldier, Evert Traver who died at Camp Parapet in February of 1863. It appears that his body was not returned to his home in Rhinebeck, NY.
I think that the soldiers who were buried at the Camp Parapet Cemetery (Shrewsbury) were moved to Chalmette National Cemetery, but he is not listed as a burial on the Find A Grave site.
So, I am wondering is there any location in the cemetery for soldiers who are not identified at all? Or are there other burials that have not yet been entered?
Evert served in the 128th Regiment, NYSV
I am working on display and project of local Civil War veterans. We are focusing on soldiers from whim we have letters written during the war. We have several from Evert. It would be nice to put some of them on a Find A Grave memorial.
Any thoughts or ideas would be most appreciated.

In the memorial posted on findagrave for Morris Thompson in Trinity Cathedral cemetery, the date of death is shown as 1839. I believe the actual date was 1859. He was born in 1800 and died at age 59. If I am in error , please excuse me.

I saw your reply to Jane Hall that James Veasey is not buried at the Kettle Creek Battleground Cemetery. I would like for you to take a look at Find A Grave Memorial# 37155852. I have him in my tree through his wife, Elizabeth Hollingsworth. I also want to ask you for permission to use your pictures of James' tombstones in my family tree, please.
Thank you :-)

|Dianne||HUGE, HUGE THANK YOU|
I cannot thank you enough for the photo taken of Sarah Sophronia Pickard-Persons grave marker. It seems I have waited forever so you can image my delight to see your post since Sarah is my gg grandmother. I noted your interest in Revolutionary and Civil War history and it is the same for me. My Pickard / Persons lineage has allowed me to prove, to date, 15 of the current 19 Revolutionary War Patriots proven in DAR records not to mention Colonial Dames XVIII. Again, thank you again for your time and efforts for this photo.
