RE: Grady Cierley
Thank you for linking Grady with my great-grandmother, Octavia Shelley Cierley.
Her husband John Isaac Cierley does not have a find a grave number that I have found. He was born 11/17/1879 in Texas and died 7/21/1960 in Sacramento. He lived with his daughter Ruby Jewel # 13423871 in Bakersfield for awhile. I believe Octavia and he were separated before he died.
Thank you, again,
Vickie Cierley Ellis

Mary Prodger
Most of the patients were buried on the hospital grounds, but a few were sent elsewhere. (Sometimes noted as such, but like Mary, often not.) Without rechecking for exact dates, her troubles may have started around the time of her husband's death. Their son Charles would have been a young teenager at the time. He seems to have made his way into adulthood with some success. It was almost certainly him who arranged for her burial next to Joseph. Sadly, it seems Charles' wife died young and to my knowledge, this Prodger line ended with him.

I'm trying to take the commitment records (deaths) through about 1872. I do it for my maternal grandmother who spend a great many years in a Missouri State Asylum. She was released to a nursing home in late life and it's a comfort knowing she died and was buried near kin.

Thank you for updating Mary's memorial, I'm glad she was buried by Joseph in El Dorado Co. The gravesites at the asylum were not handled respectfully in the early to mid 1900's.

I just completed a memorial I made for Mary Prodger. After doing a search for the surname Prodger, I found that it is a duplicate to yours. What I propose is that all her bio information be copied and pasted into your memorial. (Has slight information on her husband but quite a bit on her son.)

Can do it through the Edit feature but thought I'd contact you first.

Thank you!
Hi Lori ~ Thank you so much for your kindness.

Thanks to you also. I'm always running into your name "Lori T". This is my passion, as I'm certain it is yours as well.

I'm in El Dorado County too. Isn't all this rain we're getting lovely! ~ Jo

RE: Don Cook
Lori - thanks for the reply. Don's real name was Julius Don Juan Cook, but he went by Don. He would have been around 20 when he died. They lived south of Placerville so I am not sure this is him, as it seems far from his home. But you never know.

RE: Sagedalens - Kerhoven, MN
I have information that a Hans Sagdalen was one of the first settlers of Kerkhoven Township, Swift County, which is near the town of Sunburg in Kandiyohi County. Local cemeteries I could check include two Covenant (or Swedish Mission) churches, or Spring Creek Lutheran, or West Lake Lutheran. Any of these sound familiar?

RE: Sagedalens - Kerhoven, MN
I contacted the caretakers of Hillside cemetery in Kerkhoven. They have a very old burial record book, but no Sagedalens or Sagdalens in it. The town of Kerkhoven is in Pillsbury Township, but there is a Kerkhoven township within the same county (further north, closer to the town of Sunburg, in Kandiyohi County). Do you have record of any particular church affiliation they had? It's possible that their graves may be in another rural cemetery.

Lori - Regarding your Samuel Allison, the only other information on file at the cemetery was his burial date: 24 October 1938 (Monday at 2:30 pm) and that his next of kin are listed as Mrs. Robert Page (dau) and Mrs. S. E. Allison, 812 Kern Blvd.

John William Robson # 79275555
Hi Lori, I am researching some of the Robson family and Farnsworth family of El Dorado Co. On this memorial you mentioned that John William Robson had five siblings – Mary, Joseph Layton, Elizabeth J., Margaret May, and Benjamin Franklin Robson. I see records for all of them EXCEPT Joseph Layton. May I ask where you found evidence for Joseph Layton Robson? Thank you. Jeff.

B.F. Graham
Well, I think I have figured out the issue.

There are 2 B.F. Graham's, the other one lived on into the 1930's, he is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.

The one at Presbyterian for sure, married Berry & had one daughter, Daisy. Daisy married about 1899/1900 (listed as Moore in 1900 Census).

I will make some of my corrections.

Also, I would submit your corrections to the other memorial. Right now, I am not sure about 1851 B.F. parents, but will leave it for now.

Farnsworth in Georgetown
Lori, Appreciate your work, especially for Farnsworth family in Georgetown Pioneer Cemetery. Headstones for John F. (1835-1929), his son John B. (1876-1914), and Earnest “Bun” ( -1909) appear to be very new, not 80-100 years old. Any idea why? Replaced by Farnsworth descendants perhaps? I am not a descendant. John F.’s daughter Mabel Farnsworth was first wife of my great-grandfather Hilliard R. Qualls, but I am descended from his second wife. Regarding Earnest “Bun” Farnsworth, could he have been an infant? I suspect he might have been son of Ernest Robson Farnsworth (another son of John F.). You have access to cemetery records? Just wondering.
