Hi, Andy. Where exactly is the grave for the above fellow located other than just Sandisfield, Berkshire Co, MA. Where is the "Smith Plot"? Was just the headstone moved to "Smith Plot" or the entire grave? Is the headstone the one that Joshua's daughter Hulda Smith Ayrault had made? Hope you can answer my questions. Thanks. Cheryl

Thanks for the ok, Andy... Levi Crosby is my 5X great grandfather back thru my great grandmotherʻs Annable line... I have to work on the proof of descent and submit to DAR for a supplemental ancestor. DAR records show his as a private serving with Capt. John Willey at the Lexington Alarm.... He was born 1 August 1729 in Harwich, MA & died 13 August 1804 in East Haddam, CT. Ever heard of him?

Good morning, Andy,
Just found your photo of Sarahʻs grave stone... thanks for posting it... she was married for a very short time to my 7th cousin 3X removed... very distant, I know, but may I use the photo on my private family tree? I always give credit to the members who so graciously allow me to use their photos... thanks so much...
BTW, found your note on your home page interesting... I have a great grandfather who was at the Lexington Alarm... working to prove him as a supplemental for DAR...

Thank you Andy about John William Beesley # 66152522 I too do not see him on the Utah burial registry. All I see is his father, John Beesley # 123014 whom is buried in the Kaysville Cemetery.
I will bring this up to the creator of the findagrave site for John William Beesley.
Again thank you for helping me with my wife's family group sheet!

My pleasure. I was there to take a photo of another grave, and I always check the requests when I go. This one wasn't too far from mine. Without the reference to her husband, I never would have made the connection as the fourth face was blank. Happy hunting!

Thank you so much for the photo! My request was for a photo of what I was expecting to be the headstone for ViEtta Layton, my Grandma's Aunt that she never met because her Aunt died as a baby. I had no idea that her name was actually "Vinnetta" or that she had a sister named "Etta" buried with her. My Grandma's name was ViEtta. I always knew she was named after her Aunt that died as a baby, but didn't realize there were two babies. Obviously my Grandma's name ended up being a mix of both of her Aunts, that is so special to learn!
Were they twins I wonder? Why does the name "Etta" not have a birth date? Does that mean she was still born and the other sister lived a few days? Crazy! Just a question though...the name posted on top of the grave photo (even there are no markers) is Vietta not Vinnetta or Etta, I think that a mistake. Thanks so much for the photo!

|Melissa White||Virgil Lloyd|
The grave of the 17 year old that you mentioned was my mother-in-law's uncle who died before she was born. I found a kind of vague newspaper article about it online, but she told me the whole story yesterday. Very sad. He was apparently at a gas station fueling his motorcycle up. A friend of his was also fueling his vehicle there and "playfully" sprayed him with gasoline just as Virgil was cranking his motorcycyle. He caught fire and died the next day of severe burns to most of his body. My mother-in-law told me that he (Virgil)was burned so badly and in so much pain that he had to stand on the running board of the pick up truck and his father held onto his arms inside the truck (to prevent him from falling) all the way to the hospital. They had to do this so that the cool air would help keep him being in such excruciating pain. :( So sad! Although she never met him, she was tearful just telling me the story. Thanks for helping me find them.

I checked out your website this morning and I was pretty impressed! I would love to start up something like that and tell the many stories I have uncovered about my family, and area residents of historic note. Thank you for the inspiration!
How did you begin? Where the heck do I start?

I just wanted you to know that I got the worse case of Poison Ivy I've ever seen from Holden. I didn't know you could still get it EVEN when the plant you touch is "Dead". LOL
