Frank R. Holdridge
Hi, just wondering how you knew Frank R. Holdridge's marker was incorrect. You are correct BTW; The middle initial is "R," not "L." I knew this because of M. J. [Holdridge], his only surviving child. If not for her, we would not have known this was his marker, as the cemetery could not even verify the mistake. Are there any other nuggets of Holdridge info you could enlighten us with? We are stuck at Frank D. Holdridge as we cannot confirm his father being Roswell Holdridge.

Fred Blain # 103405268
Hi James, I have been looking for Fred Blain for a long time. I was wondering if he was the brother or cousin of my G Grandma Wilhelmina "Minna" (Blunke) Pels, Rogalski, Richau #76020073. Her 2nd husband, Charles "Carl" Rogalski #76019910 was my G Grandpa. Their son Arnold "Albert" Rogalski (Blain) #77900175 was my mom's dad. Albert 77900175 was the one who changed the last name Rogalski to Blain in 1938. My mom thinks that Fred was a cousin in our family who had changed his name from Blunke to Blain. Though we don't know that for sure. In Fred Blain #103405286 site you said there was an obit in the Tonawanda News on 18 Oct 1944. I hope you will send me a copy of it if it is available. Please send to: xoxodian@hotmail.com . Also I am trying to put a list together of the whole family with all the find a grave numbers included with each person so that we can get them all listed together so it makes sense. I am still searching for Hugo Rogalski. I will send you the family list information when I get it made. Wilhelmina "Minna" has quite a few children with the three husbands, then took care of the Richau children too and had one dau. with F William Richau too. I have Arnold Albert Rogalski's original Birth certificate. I can send you a copy of it if you provide a private email address to send it to. I don't want to have it in Find a Grave. Thank you for sending me the obit for Fred Blain 103405286 if you can. Thank You DianLarkin

Ina Fingerlos Parker
Hi James

Thank you for the correction on Ina's spouses. When I use the cemetery lists to create memorials, it's often difficult to tell whether an extra surname is a maiden name or another marriage.

I've linked her to William Fingerlos, but without more information for Charles Parker, I can't be sure which is the right one.

Thank you again
Diana

Nancy Burchett
Hi James:
I found the land document for John Burchett b. 1735. It's for Loudoun County. Looks like John Burchett's earliest entry there as a man is 1787. Do you have a maiden name for Nancy? The land deed is a transfer of 66 ac to Nancy from her father's estate. Looks like her father was fairly well to do as far as land is concerned. I plan to go to Loudoun and see what else I can ferret out.
Thanks,
Leslyn Lang

RE: Burchett
Hi James:
I'm backtracking and have looked on my online sources. In the more helpful censuses beginning in 1850 and onward, William Burchett always indicated he was born in Virginia. Coincidentally, I'm in Virginia now too and not too far from Loudoun County. So they put me onto thinking about Virginia. There is an 1820 census below (keep in mind that this is quickly noted and I probably have a pic of it) from Loudoun Co:

1820 Middleburg, Loudoun Co., VA census lists:
William Burchett
1 m under 10
1 m 16-26
1 m 45 & up
1 f 26-45

It does fit with ages of who would have been in his family at the time. I can email you via google but I can't attach it to this email if you want to see it. By 1850 many of his children were already adults. I checked the marriage book for Loudoun Co to see if any Burchetts were listed and they have an interesting entry:

Burchett, Josiah & Sarah Ann Burchett, daughter of William Burchett, bm Eli Janney affirms grooms age. 7 April 1832. Shelbourne Parish

There is another entry relating to William Burchett and a Kitty Burchett. Kitty is attesting to a bride's age of 22 years old for a marriage.

There is a land document (I don't have yet) that shows a purchase of land in Loudoun Co by John Burchett and wife Nancy Hatcher in 1805. As soon as I know more about this I will keep in touch. I may go to Loudoun myself to see what documents are up there on this family.

My actual connection is via Flora Burchett m. Douglas Mercer, William Burchett & Henrietta, Benjamin Burchett & Susan Voshel, John Burchett Jr., and John Burchett Sr. & Nancy. I've still got other materials to go through.

RE: Burchett
Hi James:
I will look through my materials. I've worked a lot on the collateral lines of the Reed family. Do you live in Washington Co? I've been networking with people like Hugh Coffman and Ernie Thode. I used to send letters to Mary Hinton and another lady but Hugh sent me Mary's obituary. I haven't seen Hugh in a while so I'm not sure how he is. I hope he's well. Thanks for asking about the sources though. I'll get back with you as soon as I've gone through my computer materials and materials I've not created for online use.
Thanks,
Leslyn Lang

I should have known you were one of those self appointed Find A Grave police....telling everyone else what to do. Thank you for your concern, but please let me handle my own memorials. Thanks.

Hi James, I'am thrilled that you have a memorial page of my great uncle 3x removed. I have been searching for my mom's family and have been hitting a brick wall. James memorial is # 111836983. If you have a copy of his obituary could you please email it to me at jstmyne49@yahoo.com, I would be forever greatful. His father Bernard was born in 1830 in Ireland, and his mother Rosana (Martin) was born in 1835 also in Ireland. I am also looking to where Rosana is buried as she is not with her husband. Any further information which you could share would be greatly appreciated, and again thank you for taking the time to post his memorial. Dawn McCutchan

Hi James, Thank you for your permission to use your photos. And a special thank you for your time and effort to look for my Rogalski Rogalsky relatives in Detroit and New York.

I will click on all of our past emails to give you the info that you have given me before.

Plus, My grandfather Albert Rogalski changed his last name. He was the child of Minnie.

You may also contact me at xoxodian@hotmail.com if you would like. I am looking for any info on my family.

We are also looking for Minnie's news paper article about when she lost her leg and which leg she lost. Minnie "Wilhelmina" Blunck Pels Rogalski Richau. So far we have had no luck finding any info about her. Maybe you have that information. Thank you for everything. Sincerely DianLarkin
