Michelle, I have transferred your aunt as requested.
Added by Judy Murphy on Aug 01, 2013 5:17 PM
Michelle, you don't offer an email option for replies, thus my post here:
Since its you, I will transfer George to you - this time. However please note I no longer (or rarely) transfer outside of guidelines. George IS outside of those guidelines being your Grand Uncle.
It has all become complex and I see now why Administration set up those guidelines. They are indeed for the best, and its easiest to just stick to them.
I am always more than happy to add or edit names, if you need that done, or make links.

|Obsessed Genealogist||Susannah Nance|
There is another Susannah/Susan Nance from Pike County, Indiana.
I have this one posted on Find A Grave.
She was married to John Benedict had children Serilda and Thomas Benedict.
After John Benedict died she married Zemeriah(Zimri, Zinny) Lamb and had several more children.
Zimeriah was previously married to an unknown woman and to Cynthia Davis (Divorced in the late 1860s). They also had numerous children.
My Susan Nance Benedict Lamb's mother was Elisabeth Willis and her father was Thomas Nance/Nanse (both listed at Find a Grave)
Perhaps the two Susannah/Susan Nances are related.

I have uploaded a photo of the grave marker for Emma Joy Ford at Carter Creek. On her memorial you left a very sweet and touching message, so I thought you might wish to see her beautiful grave marker.

|Hollye Ann and Michael Grijalva||Relative in common|
I saw your post on Cephus Luttrell. He is my Grand Uncle, his sister Wealthy Luttrell/Evans was my Grandmother on my mom's side. I have been searching for her gravesite for years and was finally able to locate it after finding her death certificate. Low and behold she is buried also in the same cemetery as her family. I would love to chat with you and share the information I have about this very interesting family.
Hollye Ann Draves
I am living in Shelbyville, TN. I have found out I am only 237 miles away from the cemetery so I may be planning a road trip soon.

I have not had luck with the family. I have been able to locate some of them but they are not listed so I have to physically go by their address or mail them a letter. I've been busy with breaking news that I have not had time to do either. Thanks for the help!

|M. Barnett||Youngs in Carmi, Illinois|
I have been researching my husbands family and they are from Carmi, Illinois. His ggg grandfather was Joseph Young who was married to Margaret Driggers, Hodkin, Young, Slocumb. I have been tirelessly searching for anyone who may have been related to the Youngs or the Driggers in an attempt to locate which side of the family their indian heritage comes from. I know this is a long shot but since you have done so much research can you possibly tell me if you might have been related to Joseph Young who would have died in August 1856. I am not sure of how he died (War or other) He and Margaret had a daughter named Josephine who was born in 1856. If you could help in any way that would be greatly appreciaited.

|saul garza||Fred McMillan|
Hi michelle. This is Saul Garza, I'm a reporter with the Fox station in Dallas. I saw your post about the cemetery and the conditions. Would there be any way to figure out where Fred McMillan is buried? I spoke with a family who found his marker in their backyard while cleaning up the yard. From my understanding from the locals in Centerville, this is likely a private and small cemetery. I have a couple of names/numbers of relatives that I plan to contact later. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks.

OK I wish I knew how to reach some of the family members because of the fact possibly might have gotten him an new stone through the Veteran Administration...
I have been made aware of an local station in area has begun to show interest...
That would be awesome....
My feeling are mixed about an replacement stone... But when a stone has this much damage I do not know if a stone could be restored.
I have been mildly involved in restorations... as my cousin has much more knowledge in this area... I have only gone as an helper... She has taken DNR classes and actually has learned the proper way to do this process... As I will not pretend to know how to do this... So many will go out feeling they are helping but in long run are damaging stones by using harmful chemicals on stones...
Anyway back to topic if a family member were to contact you .... Please let me know, ok.
Also I am glad you made a memorial for him...
