Schleicher transfers
Would you please transfer Harold H Schleicher 77583252 and Jean L. Schleicher 77583286 to me ?

Harold is a 1st cousin 2X removed. This would allow me to do the bios and link the Schleicher children, grandchildren to our matriarch, Sophia Simon-Schleicher, nee Zeitler. This is necessary because my father's family had 3 branches instead of the usual 2.

Thank you, Lynn Simon 47995135

Babe Hadley - Lakeside Cemetery
I know you have taken a ton of photos, but I'm hoping you might remember taking a photo of Babe's marker in section d 1877-1882. I am curious as to whether it might be somewhere in the vicinity of William M. Hadley and his wife Elizabeth Denton Hadley who are buried in section c. I am hoping I found one of their 4 children (2 of whom died as babies). This one and another one unnamed who was born and died in Mar 1881. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am well aware that your neck of the woods is buried in snow, so I don't expect you to go out to the cemetery now to look if that is what it is necessary for you to recollect the location. Spring would be soon enough.

RE: Your request about the Shaws
Thank you, Carl. The foliage around the markers seems to be the same, but the birth year for Mathew (M B Shaw) on the stone is about 13 years off what I had for him in the 1940 census, so I wanted to make sure he is really Ida's husband. We'll talk again in nicer weather. Thanks for all you've contributed to this site!

Lloyd Peter McClive
Hello there :) I work at the local library and someone (Mr. Leech)came in today trying to find info on Mr. McClive...1917 - 1942. I understand that he (Mr. Leech) bought a WWII Royal Canadian uniform items (not sure what all) from a lady who thinks he (McClive) maybe her grandfather?? He (Leech)wants to help her figure out the connection she has to the items he purchased. I did some searching on, Find A Grave and the plain old internet and came up with more info than he came in with. Now that I am home and creating a tree to see if I can find more I see that you have created memorials for Margaret Coyne McClive (his stepmother?) and a Maxine Coyne McClive (her daughter?). I am wondering if you are related to these too ladies and if so if you would be will to "talk" to my friend/patron in regards to the family.
Thank you for your consideration,
Karen - Montrose Michigan

Margie Gage
RE: Oda Rudolph
According to the various sources I've looked at, Oda Rudolph was born in Fenton, Genesee County, MI in 1873. Her parents were Ferdinand Rudolph and Frednice/Fredricka (maiden name unknown). By 1892 the name Oda Rudolph shows up in the Flint (MI) City Directory, with the occupation "musician". A couple of years later, Oda Rudolph appears in the Grand Rapids City Directory, again listed as a musician. I know that a year later, an Oda Rudolph joined the musicians' union in Grand Rapids.

I found TWO different 1910 Census records, one in Union, Branch Co, MI (Oda E.Davis, age 37, occupation-laundress), married to George Davis (age 68), with a Peter Davis, age 6 (who I presume was their child); also one for Fenton, Genesee Co, MI (Oda Davis, age 36; occupation-musician). I don't know if these are the same person or what. . . .

So I'm just confused! I DO know that someone named Oda married someone named George Davis, AND I know that there was a musician named Oda Rudolph from Fenton, MI. I just don't know if they are the same person!

If you have any thoughts on this, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks so much!

Oda Rudolph
I'm curious as to what you know about Oda Rudolph. According to my research, she was still alive in 1930 (married to George Davis), living in Union, Branch Co, MI. My main interest is in her career as a professional trombone player. Any light you can shed on her life would be greatly appreciated!

Mary Ellicott Barrows
Mary was the daughter of Thomas and Matilda McCann Ellicott, both also buried in Oakwood. George H. Ellicott, buried in Oakwood, was her brother.
