Transfer to You
I manage several memorials at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. At age 81, I want to transfer these memorials to a younger person, and have found no younger relatives who are interested in Findagrave. Are you a suitable contributor to whom to transfer these memorials?

Hannah Drake Smith
Hannah Drake Smith is my husband's 4G grandmother. We have attempted to find the Smith Cemetery in Wood County based on the map from Find a Grave which indicated a cemetery on county road 25. We found a Smith Cemetery on county road 25 but it has other Smiths and Martins located in the cemetery. I noticed that you stated that the cemetery is on a ridge above Lee Creek on her son William Smith's farm. Can you tell us what road this Lee creek or Smith Farm is near? We really would like to visit the gravesite.

Thanks for considering this request for information.

Rome Uhl
Thanks Jeff for adding my Great Great Grandfather...I hope someday you can find a record or a plot number for both Rome and Rosa Uhl...My father and his father was present the night Rome died...but my dad was just a boy then...but he remembers that night....My dad is sill living and is 88 years old...It would be great to know where Rome and Rosa were burried...I'd give them both new headstones :)
Thanks again

I just left off the S it's fixed. however if she had just turned 16 her birth year would have been 1836 so I didn't change that

I am sorry for not being more informative.
My cousin thinks Mary is in the Davis cemetery well she thinks that's were she got her head stone picture from. Since I saw your name on the Davis cemetery in Wood county WV I thought maybe you would know if her stone is in there.

Thanks Janice

I wrote you a note but it didn't post so sorry if you get two. Thank you for all you do! Lafayette Nelson is my great grandfather's brother. My grandmother' grandfather's brother. I am researching this sid of the family and am facinated with Lafayette. Thank you for posting all the information about him! I was wondering if you knew where I could get a birth certificate or death certificate for my research of my family? Or his military records. I am so sorry he died so young, too. I would pay for these of course if you knew where to get them or if there are any such records that early? My home e-mail is: dollsfordeb@msn.com Thank you so much! And for maintaining his site!

Mary Virginia Davis
Jeff

She is a descendant of the Sams family line which I am researching. A distant cousin, her death certificate states she is buried in this cemetery, as to if she has a marker, I do not know. I am planning a trip in July to find various members and to see if there are markers. If you come across one, please let me know and I'll let you know what I find out.

Thanks for all you do!

Theresa

Born a Henry myself, I am currently working on the Henry's in Marshall and Wetzel County. Friend and Sarah are buried at Fredonia Cemetery and their marker can be found on this site.
