I found a number of issues with Elizabeth Rowe Carbiener's page (my great-great-grandfather's daughter) (21764045) and would like to make a few adjustments in order to correct it. If you could please transfer this record to me I would really appreciate it.

|Kel-lea Lorraine Erickson||Elizabeth Patterson Knapp|
Hi. Elizabeth Knapp wife of Pvt. Lucius H Knapp is my GG Grandmother. Through Lucius and Elizabeth's daughter Florence Genette "Nettie" Knapp.Florence was enumerated as Dolly on the 1860 Census of Lucius and Elizabeth.Under Court records in Elkhart County you can find Lucius Knapp's Minor Heir papers with Sarah, Harriet ,Martha, and Florence.I have the marriage record of Elizabeth Patterson and Lucius Knapp. Was wondering if you'd add her maiden name. Also you have Harriet dying in the 1940's? Do you know who she married? I know what happened to Florence and Martha R "Mattie" Knapp. Both married Hogue boys. I never could figure out anything on Sarah or Harriet. You have a birth and death date for Harriet on Elizabeth's memorial. I would love to know more about her. I also have information on Lucius. His father is Henry A. Knapp

OK Gary, I guess I will have to walk the cemetery also. I want to visit them because they are my great, great grand parents. I hope it is the right cemetery when I go because no one seems to have their records.
Thank you very much,

|Carl Riddle||Grave location|
Gary, I am searching for Henry Meinhardt 1833 - 1895 Memorial #23239450. I see on find a grave you posted him as being buried at Saint Johns Cemetery on Buente Street. I want to view his grave and take pictures and would like to pinpoint the location so I don't have to walk the entire cemetery. I have contacted Saint Johns Church and the cemetery caretaker and both say they have no records Of Henry or his Wife Maria Memorial #23239477. I have a map of the cemetery. Can you tell me the location?

New Feature on Find A Grave
I found out a new feature on Findagrave. Go to the Contributor Page on your name and look at the Edit Tab at the top right. If you click on that it will show request for you to accept or decline for adding birth and death dates, locations and states. Doesn't allow any connection to parents yet. Hope this info helps.

Hi Mr. Myers, Thank you for being a Find A Grave volunteer. You have posted a picture for Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton, West Virginia, but the picture you have posted (it is a picture of a mausoleum) is located at Greenbrier Burial Park, also in Hinton, WV. Would you care to remove the picture posted for Restwood and post it on Greenbrier Burial Park? Thank you so much. D.Mack

|Chris Myers||John Reidmier|
My name is Chris Myers. My father is Lowell, my grandfather is John, and my great grandfather is Herman. I believe that we are related. According to my dad, you are a descendent of Herman's brother, John.
Thank you for your contributions to information and photos of our extended families. I'm just starting to get into some genealogical work. What sources have you found to be most helpful in your work? Have you been able to find out anything about Johannes (John) Reidmier (memorial # 52434298) and Juliana Roth Myers Boss (memorial # 52402832) in Baden Baden, Germany? Thanks.

|DIGGER||St Anthony's Cemetery|
Gary, I was wondering if you could locate and possible photograph any type of marker that may be present for a man by the name of OTTO KUTCHER. He passed away in January of 1935 and was laid to rest in St Anthony's in Shaler Twp. The record says Section C, Lot No. 28, Grave No. 1.
He was a Great Grandfather and there is very little known about him. If I know his grave is marked that is a start. Thanks if you can do that....Digger

|Lisa Stewart||RE: Steimle|
Death Records (10 years ago) and only found Clara, Karl and Josephine. I haven't started any serious research yet--still trying to get everything input.
I am not exactly sure how this site works. Could I go to Greenwood and take pictures of the headstones and add them to what you have posted? I know Corey and I found them once (before digital photography was popular).

|Lisa Stewart||RE: Steimle|
Yes, I made the connection after I posted the message. I knew the name sounded familiar but there is another Meyers on the Stewart side and I hadn't gotten to the point of adding all the Steimles. (Sometime over the last 10 years my computer files were lost. I am in the process of re-entering everything.)
I am at a dead-end with the Stewarts and that's how I stumbled on the findagrave site. Can I ask where you found all the detailed information on birth/death dates? I searched the Kent Count

I am working on the Steimle family tree. Thank you for all of the information you posted. John G. Steimle (65489137) was my husband's great grandfather. Since the entry was so detailed I am wondering if you might be related. His grandparents were Arnold and Thelma Steimle.

|manwwings||70688795 & 70688109, Lucius Knapp|
Thanks for photographing the Grace Lawn Cemetery in Middlebury, Indiana. I thought Lucius Knapp was buried in a mass grave in the Chattanooga Nat'l Cemetery because that was where the Battle of Missionary Ridge was. Glad to know he "made it home". I have his pension record and he had 4 daughters. The youngest was Harriet Knapp who married Frank Parrish. Harriet applied for information so she could join the Daughters of CW Veterans. She died in Mishawaka,Indiana (Oct 15, 1948)and is supposed to be buried in White Pigeon Cemetery in St. Joseph County, Michigan. Haven't seen her grave info yet and I am not absolutely certain of that but you can add her to your list of children if you would like (Harriet A. Knapp-b. 6 Mar 1863 in York, Elkhart, Ind. and died 15 Oct 1948 in Mishawaka-married Frank Parrish, 18 Sep 1883 in Jonesville, Hillsdale, Michigan.)Thanks again--Manwwings

|Robin||Catherina Wahr Horst|
I believe Catherina Wahr Horst #22677643 is the daughter of Gotlieb #97506270 and Agnes Wahr #97504725. I am a descendant of these two (though not of Catherina) and they did indeed have a daughter by this name who was born around 1844, as confirmed by census records. If this is correct, Catherina actually immigrated shortly after her birth around 1845 since her sister, Pauline, was born about 1846 in Pennsylvania (again, census records for 1850 and 1860). Also noteworthy is the fact that Catherina was probably born in France, not Germany, specifically in Alsace-Lorraine, an area with a high German speaking population which later exchanged ownership between France and Germany a number of times. I know this because though the 1850 census says she was born in Germany, the 1860 census says she was born in France and this is a repetitive theme with her siblings too - some records says Germany, some France. It finally clicked when I found a census record of the son of Catherina's sister Caroline saying his mother was born in Alsace-Lorraine, which explains the back and forth of Germany and France.
Gotlieb and Agnes were born in Wuttemberg (again, census records) so the family was culturally German, even if Catherina was technically born in France.
I hope that helps! Thanks for all your contributions.

|Brandon Rowe||Frederick William Rowe|
I am the great-grandson of Newton William Rowe and have been doing some research on Frederick (Newton's father, my great-great-grandfather). I ran across Elizabeth Rowe Carbiener's (Newton's sister, Frederick's daughter) memorial (21764045) today and noticed that you said that Frederick lived in Pennsylvania. I've never seen a record to indicate that Frederick was ever in PA and would be very interested in what makes you believe that he lived there. Frederick has always been a bit of a mystery to us Rowes. We know that he was born in Germany in 1845 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1869, but there a few years unaccounted for in between 1869 and his marriage to Lydia Cripe in 1871. Any information you could offer on the subject of Frederick would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder where you retrieved the bio info on Samuel Gettig entry? (Record added: Oct 05, 2007 Find A Grave Memorial# 21980183). This is my wife's great-great-grandfather. If you link entries, Mallissa Jane Walters (#46072776) is daughter and her husband Jacob Walters (# 46072756) is son-in-law. Regards, Frank.
