Unfortunately, the volume is unavailable, so I couldn't check but I will try to remember to keep checking.

I expect to be at Town Clerk's tomorrow and I will take a look if the correct volume is available. They are in the process of putting the record books into plastic protector sleeves, so sometimes the volumes are not available. But I will try to look.

RE: Samuel Hanford 18764246
Hi,

I'm not related to Samuel Hanford. I guess that you are thinking that he might have been William's father? It's possible, I guess. I see where William C. Hanford died in New Canaan, CT on 9 Dec. 1953. You might want to obtain a copy of his death certificate. His obit doesn't tell who his parents were. Sorry that I can't be of more help.

Hi there,

I have been working with the Norwalk Death Records, 1902-1909, which is how I discovered their son. Her maiden name was listed in the death certificate for the baby. When I searched the name at St. Mary's on my iPad, I had her date of death from the gravestone, and then was able to confirm that information with the Death Records.

Taquoshi.

No, I'm not a relative of the Hoyt's. Sorry. I was in the cemetery and took pictures of many stones and entered them in Find A Grave for ancestors looking for them. I can transfer management of them to you, if you wish.

Thanks.

I am not a relative of Oliver Hoyt, just a hobby that I have. I sometimes posted flowers in the past to get family members attached.

RE: Duplicates
The two duplicates have not disappeared yet. I have put in for merger, requesting that you get the memorials due to the excessive duping that has occurred in South Cemetery.

Your memorial was duplicated by 72960537. I have provided support by cemetery transcription. Hopefully this will be enough so the dates correspond and the 2 memorials may be merged. Thank you.

You were duplicated by memorial 70174420. I have sent you another edit with what I hope is enough proof to change the death date and something for you to put on your memorial. Once done, I believe the two memorials can be merged. Thank you. 70 dupes in South Cemetery have recently been eliminated.

Could you please check the edit tab above for edits outstanding. The changes will allow duplications of some of your memorials to merge.

Danas in Oxford.
Thank you for doing the update. Sometimes with a broken stone you get lucky and there's just enough information on it to track down whose it is.

If you still grave in Oxford, will you watch for the names Larkin and Robbins, please? I have relatives who died there, but I don't know where they were buried. They may be in Oxford, or they may have been taken to family plots in other towns. That's why I was looking at the unknowns, on the off chance I'd find one of them.
