All I have is that he served during WW II.
Thanks for this, You may just want to hand a copy of the data to the grounds keepers letting them know he was a veteran. They should be able to find the plot.

Thank you for trying to find his grave. That looks like a large cemetery! I actually found his daughter and granddaughter and am in touch with them so I will follow up with them. Maybe there is no stone. Appreciate your efforts!!

I have added a comment to the memorial #30154795 for Robert Macaulay. The veterans or the cemetery have made a mistake, I am betting on the cemetery.

Thanks...completely forgot that gender wouldn't be obvious since I've been working with the tree a while. Thanks for making the correction. Looks good now.

The problem is on the page of Tilla Rogers. Not sure who created that one but it has Judith's husband as a child. So I think it's the FAMILY LINK on Judith's husband's page that needs changing.

All the obits I had emailed to you were from NewsBank.com
Out local county library (Lake County, Florida) offers this service on their website.
This makes it very easy to find obits and then make the memorials.
Hope this helps,

I just found out that it's MEMENTO MORI - and it's a Latin phrase that means "Remember you will die" - isn't that neat? Many headstones in Massachusetts have that on the tops. I found it on Google. Wikipedia has a whole page about it. Thanks so much for your help with this fabulous headstone.

Hi! Thank you so much for your thorough and fast reply! Guess what - I found the entire epitaph! Google is so good about finding these great sites that have lots of old ones with only a few words: "Death is a debt to Nature due, which I have paid and so must you." Isn't that great? I could read the word "debt" and when I added that to the last line which you had, Google found it for me! Yay! THe place where I see "MEMENTO TO MOM" is above the woman's head. One of your 2 photos of the headstone shows that. The other one cuts it out of the photo. Maybe you were looking at the photo that cut it off. Check it out, if you would, please, and let me know if you see that, too. Yes, this is a very nice headstone. I can imagine that people have used it as an example in some books or references.
Thank you again for your help. We did it!

Hello - I see that you took the photo of the gravestone. Thank you! I'm so curious what the verse at the bottom says - I can only read a few words of it. And do you know why it says READER at the bottom above the verse? And on the main page it says: "NOTE: there is an interesting write-up about this gravestone in" and it doesn't say in WHAT??
The manager of this page is "inactive" so I'm hoping you might be able to help me with this, please. Can you somehow go back to see if you can read the verse? Or maybe your original photo has better clarity.
Thank you for any help you can offer me in this regard. Oh - and at the top it looks as if it says "MEMENTO OF MOM" - is that what it says?
Thanks a lot - Janet, California

|Bonnie B.||William Batterson|
Cemetery records reveal that Mr. Batterson was interred in the family plot located in Section 2, lot 46. This has a good-sized monument with a number of names, Thomas, Evalena, Mary, etc. There is no marker for William and his name is not shown on the existing marker. Would you like me to post a photo of the Batterson plot as a whole? Or list that there is no marker? Just let me know. Thanks, Bonnie B.

there are directions somewhere on how to connect people in the bio section
when for whatever reason your not able to "own" the Memorial..... you can still tell the story if you inclined.....it is tedius
as in all stuff in life everyone seems to have their own take on the point of Find-a-Grave
A little over a month ago I wrote you about the memorial for Elisha Warren( Find A Grave 33829964) and his family Hannah Cummings Warren Croft (Find A Grave# 33798993), Phebe Warren (Find A Grave# 33829969) and Mary J Warren (Find A Grave # 33829965 ). I requested your help in either linking them or transferring them to me. So far I haven't heard back and nothing has been done with the requests. I was, however, able to link Elisha to his son Peter because I manage Peter's memorial.
Could you please enter Elisha's birth and death info and link him to his family members? Again, these are blood relations of mine so if you want to transfer them to me if that's easier for you, I'd be honored to have the memorials and link to them to their family members.
Birth date: 4 Apr 1810 Death date: 14 Apr 1861
Please also link him to:
Wife: Hannah Cummings Warren Croft Find A Grave# 33798993
Phebe Find A Grave# 33829969
Mary J. Find A Grave # 33829965
I appreciate all you've done to create his memorial. Thank you very much.
