|sfetter19||RE: Levi and Fannie DeBusschere|
My grandmother was Hazel. I hope it is you that I finally emailed (email@example.com) back from ancestry.com message (sorry for taking so long....life happened) Anyway, to answer your question, the back of the photo said "My mother and her friend Marie". If it was you that I emailed back, I included a few photos that you will love. If not, send me your email and I will send more to you. I just started going thru some of the old photos I have and scanned a few. I have quite a few that I have no clue who they are. But I'd love to share what I have. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm so glad I made you happy

I looked at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Berwick and didn't find a Wellington Bankes. If you want me to contact the other contributor, let me know. I'll need the memorial number.

Hi Jan, I think the Memorial I created was in error and have now deleted it. Rebecca was first married to Wellington and then to his brother, Daniel. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Yes I am a direct descendant of several Rittenhouse lines! Very busy tree that one!! As I stated in my bio, I have yet to find when and where exactly B.F.Rittenhouse fits into my direct line, but my mother swears by it!
Everything I have on them is uploaded to ancestry and findagrave, and every Historical Society in Pennsylvania is a rich resource of information on this amazing family.
I hope that helps!

Thanks. I changed it. :)
I initially entered the memorials from burial records and later took all the pictures. Some of the records were off by a little.

I got the I formation on his birth/death dates from the cemetery records. Went back to check, thinking maybe it just looked like 1809 but was something else, but the data I have is what is listed, including the year, month, days. I have never seen the headstone, so I do not know what it says. I put a note in the bio as to the descrepancy of the age and date of birth. Will be on the look out for anything that could provide any more information.

Thank you - you are correct! I had the correct date in my genealogy. I have corrected it on the listing.

Your Welcome-Sadly it's a hit and miss in this section, there are so many graves without headstones as you can see in the photo.

You are welcome. My mother had the portrait hanging in her home for many years, along with Elias' portrait. Sadly, they have faded with age.

Hmm...apparently one of them married into my family. I'm not sure of the exact relationship without doing a whole bunch of digging. They are in my 'Family Tree' (at least some of them). When I got to researching the family name, I could see where they were buried in cemetery records.

Please send your transfer requests thru the edit tab on your contributors page thru Suggest Any Other Change or Correction. It's easier to do edits and transfers that way. I made the edits already for you. I will transfer - they are not related to me.

Check the Harger's cemetery listings in a few days. I am adding photos that I took in August. I may have some you are interested in. Sorry it is taking me so long to get around to doing this. I've been photographing the cemetery for the past 3 years. Lois
Added by Lois Revenaugh on Nov 09, 2008 3:28 PM
I just sent an email to the Columbia County Historical and Genealogical Society asking for their input (I'm a member for several years now). I also plan on sending a letter to Harger's about the poor conditions in the cemetery. I will let you know what I hear. If you have any family in the Columbia area or know anyone else who has family buried there you might want to give them a heads up.
Next time I go to the cemetery I'll try to do a little weeding around some Sherman graves. Sorry I couldn't do more when I was there.
Added by bluemousey on Oct 26, 2008 3:08 PM
You are very welcome. I wanted to mention that two of the Sherman graves I found, Catharine and Lucy A. were both flat stones and mostly covered by overgrowth of dirt and weeds. Catharine's I had to dig out to take the photo.
There are many stones in this cemetery in that condition. I spent several hours digging out my family's stones that had almost disappeared because of the grass growing over the stone. Sadly, there are other graves barely visible now.
I'm writing a letter to the cemetery to complain and if you have other family members buried there you might want to do the same.
All the best!
