Are you aware the land she is buried on was bought by Patriot Coal. I have contacted the Gleaner many times. Her grave is broken now. I'm not sure how. If they did it when they was cutting down trees or what. It seems she is a descendant of the Eakins Family. Henderson county needs to do something as far as to preserve this grave before it's gone!

Hi Karen,

I was wondering if there is a family connection for you and the Denton memorials you manage? Christopher Columbus Denton and Mary Alice are my 2nd great grandparents. I would love to manage their memorials if you don't. Thank you so much!

Annie Hoggard FindaGrave
Karen - You list a child of Annie, Clair Surrena. That can't be correct. Annie died as an infant, 1892-1892. I'm guessing the parents listed for Annie are correct, since they lost 2 children, and the date for Annie fits a gap in other children's ages.

Headstone Photos
Thank you for your photos in Hopkins & Webster County, KY., I have lost track of how many that you have taken (according to Lynn Fisher) of the Carlisle's, of which there were 13 children, 3 generations in a row.

Susan Rankin Getz
Hi Karen,
I know your info on Susan Rankin Getz came from the Illinois Death Index, but someone gave them inaccurate information. The maiden name of her mother was Barrett not Bennett. I apologize for being picky-but it is confusing to researchers. Thanks so much for all your volunteer hours on behalf of Find-a-Grave!
Best,

Hi Karen - I see you have a picture of the McMullen Cemetery - I wonder if by any chance there is a headstone for Samuel Mann - he is supposed to be buried there -

Thanks

Shelly
Tillotson photos
Hi. It's my understanding by reading Lynn Fischer's findagrave.com profile that you are most likely the one who took the Tillotson photos in Fernwood Cemetery. I wanted to say thank you as well as ask for your permission to post photos you've taken of my family gravestones on my Ancestry.com file. I have absolutely no other interest in the photos other than incorporating them into my Ancestry file and I use ancestry because it keeps everything, absolutely everything in one place. I put a note under the photo that tells people the photo was taken by a Findagrave.com volunteer and I do not grant permission for others to use the photos because permission is not my right to grant as I didn't take the photo.

Thanks so much.

Shelly

Sherry Allen Hosford
Rowland Cemetery
Hi there,

I know of 2 people buried at the Rowland Cemetery. I noticed there are only 2 interments on this site. Do you remember when you were there, were there only 2 headstones?

The reason I ask is I live in St. Louis, MO, I'm planning a trip to Henderson to locate cemeteries. Maybe this one isn't worth my time if there are only 2 stones. The ones listed aren't my family.

Thanks for your time,

Sherry

Shady Grove Cemetery
Hello,

I am writing to ask if you ever get to Shady Grove Cemetery?

I have had a photo request there for a little bit and am trying to find someone who could possibly get it for me.

If you can, let me know and I can get you the info. If not, it is OK.

Thanks,
Gail

Donna Carter
interment records
writing to you from Maryland. Are there interment records available for this cemetery? I'm reading a Dr.s acct of the death of Nimrod Stover Long, died Aug 26, 1867. Acct states "he was buried in a family graveyard of Mr. Alderson". Nimrod's wife and children are not buried in this cemetery, so no Long family plot would be found at Alderson.

Thanks.
