RE: Re: James Blevins
Thanks for your reply. I know part of Saltville is in Smyth and part in Washington. Same problem with Carroll, Wythe, Grayson Counties in Va.
Depends on who is writing the info down as to what county they think they are working in.
Very confusing when I was researching in those counties.

That is a very generous offer. I am not a family member, but I would honor the memorial. My goal is to ascertain that each Patriot that I can find who fought at BKM have a memorial and have his service acknowledged as you have done so conscientiously.

Thank you for your generosity!

RE: Elizabeth McConnell
Yes, Elizabeth Willoughby McConnell is on my husband's line. That would be so sweet of you if you transferred her over. Her memorial is 38445493

Captain Thomas McConnell is really an Ensign - not a captain. I believe I sent you a photo of his military headstone application. They scratched out the word captain and replaced it with Ensign. If I didn't, let me know and I'll email it again.

She was the 3rd wife of Thomas McConnell. They were married December 25, 1835 in Washington county, Virginia.

Thank you,

Hi! We spent the first 10 years of our marriage near the Blue Ridge Parkway, which we loved- and still love so much. Now we are in New Hanover County, NC, which we are enjoying as well.

Are you related? there is a marker for a Emma Johnson with no dates, but with a relative Willis Teal. Could this be the correct Emma? She is located in the section that is the late 40's and 50's mostly.

John and Elizabeth Minnick
Thank you very much Barbie for the Minnick transfers, I have company here for the 4th of July celebration, but will work on the memorials when time permits.

Again, many thanks for the transfers,

John and Elizabeth Minnick
Hi Barbie,

You have done a wonderful job of getting memorials made for those of us still searching for our ancestors.

I am a direct descendant of John Minnick
Find A Grave Memorial# 38449258
and his wife Elizabeth Minnick
Find A Grave Memorial# 38448430

Would you please consider transferring them to me as I have quite a bit of history on this Minnick line and could add some more information on the history of this family.

Thanking you for considering this,

Nancy~ (#46892655)

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

Hi, the family name is Pemberton and you have it as Pemerton. Should it be changed to Pemberton to be the same as her husband, John Pemberton?

There is a marker for Emma, but there is no middle same and no dates. She is beside someone with the last name of Tate. Not sure she is the correct Emma Johnson. I will post the photo if you think its correct.

No I'm not related to any of the Elams. I connected Carl Elam to his parents...and from their I kept reading obits and notes left by the family and decided to sent links for what relatives I could find. Thank you for letting me know about Leonard. I probably had a brain fart :)
