I agree completely about the tombstone being misleading. She was the baby of a large family and she had only been married seven months when she died in the flu epidemic. Feel free to email me if you would like to discuss McCorkle Cemetery. firstname.lastname@example.org

Thank you for transferring James' memorial. I appreciate your willingness to do so. It took until I linked him to his father to realize he was listed under Gerald.
Thank you and have a great day. Know you do a lot for Find A Grave and appreciate all you do. Judi

Thank you for informing me of the duplication of Edna's memorial. In 2010 when Edna passed away, I contacted Sis and asked her to update her memorial with her death date and place along with sending her the obituary. She has not done it and I will not delete her memorial as there might be some of her ancestors trying to find her information.
I have updated a lot of the memorials you have sent me stating they were duplications and I appreciate your work on Find A Grave.
Have a great 2016. Judi

|Sandra Carol ||RE: Duplication of Information|
Thank you for your response. There are some discrepancies between the two Turner men, Benjamin Franklin Turner and Jesse Turner, buried in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. A Jesse Turner listed in the June 1890, District 2, Hardin, TN, Veterans Schedule indicates a widow named Sarah was collecting his pension, thus indicating he was deceased prior to 1890. I could not find anywhere that a US Union Soldier Marker had ever been ordered for Jesse Turner. However, the widow of Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Turner on 22 May 1897 did request such a marker referencing her husband's service. On this document is his death date of April 28, 1897 and her signature: Melissa J. Turner. The application: 656156 and the certificate 455735. At some point in the future, we will visit the gravesite and maybe have an opportunity to visit the courthouse to find Benjamin's death certificate. His wife and two of his eight children are buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Yeah I know sometimes the wrong date is put on the stones but I always like to let the person know anytime there is any info different that way they can decide on what is more correct.
