Thank you for the addition of the married name of Leota Porterfield. Would you source the data for me? I have an ongoing research for the surname Porterfield because they lived with my family, traveled with my family, and everytime my family moved, they did also. However, I cannot figure out how they are related to me. I know they have to be. They are also intermarried with surnames Slater, Mains(various spellings) and Guthrie's.
My core of research is in Johnson/Jackson Co, KS and I am then feathering backwards and forwards into time. In this county is where I have found most of the marriages, deaths and remarriages.
Any information on the family would be greatly appreciated.

The 'Sadler' picture came from: "Days Gone By….A celebration of our past in pictures. “Cascade & surrounding communities” Pre 1950 Vol. 1 Published by the Cascade Pioneer Copyright 2003"" They must have made an error of the date. I'll add your note about 1920. Cheryl

|LaylaBear||RE: William Rink|
I'm so sorry for this very delayed reply - I just happened to check my messages on this site and seen yours, if I received a notification via email I must have missed it.
The only information I have for Peter is that he was born 10/8/1889 to Michael and Theresa (Wagner) Rink, I have census records reflecting him for the years 1900, 1910 and 1920 living at home and his WWI draft registration card which has him married, but no wife listed. I could not find military records for him though. I also have a 1919 border crossing card for him listed with a Minnesota address going to Saskatoon, Canada for his employer. I did not find a return crossing though. I forgot to mention that the 1920 census shows him living in Albian Township Wisconsin as a hired hand.
Unfortunately, I have been out of researching for a bit - but am hoping to get back into it very soon as I have many "brick walls". Are you related? If you'd like to correspond directly, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.

While adding photos to the listing for Winnie D. Bosley at Memory Lane Cem. in Anadarko, I noted a correction to the dates shown on the memorial. Date of death on headstone shows 10/8/1918 instead of 10/7/1919.

While adding photos to your listing for Nathan M. Bosley at Memory Lane Cem. in Anadarko, I noted a typo on the memorial. Headstone shows birth year to be 1866, instead of 1855.

|Larry Hobbs||RE: Bosley's at Middlebury|
Hi Kathy. We were at the Middlebury Cemetery a week ago and we did find Joseph Bosley's headstone, mostly due to the photo that you posted. His stone had sunk several inches in the ground and his name was mostly obscured, but knowing what the top of the stone looked like from the picture you posted allowed us to find it. The cemetery was in reasonably good condition and I enjoyed being there a lot. I will try to get my photos cleaned up and posted as soon as I can. We took pictures of everything I think, although some of it wasn't very readable and I may not be able to get them identified. I would love to go back after I retire and try to learn more about the town of Middlebury. There is not a lot to be found about it, at least I haven't found much. It would be fun to see if any building foundations are still there to be found.

|Leo J. Offerman||Loras Green, Cascade, Iowa|
I read your message to Jesse about the correct cemetery of Loras Green. He and his parents, from the obituaries i have, list them buried in St. Mary's Cemetery. Loras was my uncle and his parents were my grandparents. I have noticed that many of the Greens are listed in mutiple cemeteries in Cascade. That cemetery is divided into St. Mary's (which could be Calvary), St. Martins and i believe other names as well.

St. Martin's and Calvary are the same cemetery. There's just one big cemetery in Cascade. Originally it was divided into sections for St. Mary's, St. Martins, and the protestant community. I think at one time this cemetery was named as Calvary in Find A Grave but it got renamed to St. Martin's in the database.
Hope that helps,
