Thank you
Thank you for the transfer but I do have one question are you close to this cemetery and able to get me another picture of the entire stone it looks like there is writing toward the top of the stone which is cut off in this picture. I am wondering if it is the name of her other child or perhaps dates of death.

Troy Myers

Stone in question is Nancy May nee Myers.

I am wondering how you are related if at all to Nancy? Her maiden name was Myers her married name was May she is an aunt of my great grandfather. I would love to have you transfer her memorial to me so I can update it. I obtained an obit for her from the local library its not much of one but it is still one.

I know her children and would love to link them together.

Troy Myers

Her memorial # is 71248516
my id # is (#47300183)

Thank you very much

RE: Samuel Bechtel
You wrote, in part, "Hi! Just wanted to let you know I transferred Samuel to you...it was hard though. The Bechtel's are close family of mine, but you're closer related to Samuel then I am. Samuel's brother John Bechtel is my great great grandfather."

I've had to make one difficult transfer, so I have some idea of how difficult this one was for you. Maybe we should have unofficial shared custody? I'll keep Samuel for 6 mos, then send him to you...? Thanks again.

Sorry for the slow response Deana! I just checked my email. I am just learning to use find a grave but will do my best to add info to relatives. I have used ancestry.com for years and have a tree there online, but have not done much research lately. I do have a cd of headstone pictures I took in 06 and will post those in the future.
Thanks for all your help
Carl

Thank you so much for the transfer. I believe it wasn't a coincidence that you were there that day. God sent you there because He knew I was searching for my cousins.

Blessings!

Deanna, thanks... I am new to this. I did send the information to essay, who manages their memorials also. I just saw that you did not have their birth dates.

Hey Deanna, I noticed you created a memorial for John C. Penninger 95776112. I have one for him too that I did last May, but I did not know the name of the cemetery at that time so that is why you didn't find it if you only looked in the cemetery and didn't do a name search. Would you mind if I copied and pasted the obit you have posted into his memorial with the other info I have and credit you with it plus credit you with finding the cemetery name info. in the memorial I made for him 89399530 then delete yours? He was a friend of hubby's and mine from church. Thanks. Also, I created a memorial for Seth A. Rohrer #89386058 (a friend of my parents) and wondered if you are related and wanted a transfer...if not, it's ok, just thought I'd ask. ;D

Elizabeth Jane Ardelan
We seem to be crossing paths with our messages!
I posted the photo of Elizabeth's marker to her memorial earlier today. I will ask the Cemetery Caretaker to remove "Ann" from her record and make sure Jane is added as her middle name, to save you a phone call. If there are any other photos you need from Mount Hope, I would be happy to oblige. ~ b

Then again it may be a typo in the spread sheet!
St. Damion's (St. Vincent dePaul Church) has the records call them at (248) 332-1079. ~ b

Elizabeth Ann (Jane) Ardelan
Deana,

The inscription reads:
Our Baby
Elizabeth J. Ardelan
1935 ~ 1936

Some Priests, as late as 1945, would not baptize a baby with a name that did not have a corresponding Patron Saint. My husband's given name was Frank, the Priest baptized him "Francis". It is entirely possible that Ann (The Virgin's mother) was added to Elizabeth at her Christening because, as far as I know there, is no St. Jane. Finding her birth certificate is the only way to answer that question.

Deana,
I am going to the cemetery today to find Elizabeth's final resting place and I will let you know what is engraved on the marker, if there is one. There exists a publication that lists both middle names so, I think it would be a simple enough task to call the cemetery and correct the official record. The publication was a result of a Cemetery walk which means there is probably a marker on her grave. I will contact you later today.

Thanks, it wouldn't help to send me the picture right now. In the next two weeks I will be going thru with cataract surgery. I am in no hurry. If you get a new pic, just let me know. =)
