RE: Wood
Hello Cindy - Yes, in between Oliver and Diana Wood was buried Josephine McDowell. The three stones share one continuous concrete footing, implying they were all set at the same time. In another part of the cemetery I found a stone for Isaiah Wood. I see that a few others by this surname are recorded here, but I did not notice any stones - the cemetery is big though, I'll keep my eyes open! Glad to help - Sara

Yes, parents were Patrick & Kathryn. I have James Patrick on my Ancestry as birth about 1909, death 1980. I know he passed away in Florida. He was my father's Uncle.

Charles Martin
Jacob Martin Rake Cemetery
I'm looking for more information on Jacob Martin B1828-D1898 My 4th great grandmother was his daughter Mary Ann. She moved to Arkansas with her husband sometime after 1880. Do you have anything you can share on Jacob?

RE: Elmwood cem
You're welcome. Elmwood is about 3 hrs from my home but I was up that way, on business, and could see the cemetery from the highway (Rt 81). There are 2 more markers. Jacob H Sanford 1827 - 1989 (red flowers next to it in photo) and a Donald F Littlefield died 1984. Did not get the full date in photo. I was up that way on business and didn't have my "headstone cleaning tools." Hope that helps. Let me know if you need any other help. If you want to make a memorial I'll upload photos. If not I'll do it later.

RE: Bend Fork
There ARE Warner ppl in this cem., however, not any that you least not on any READABLE markers that I remember but I'll dbl check.

I know of no listing for this cem. but I'll ask around. Also it would help if I had at least a general time range of yrs for when these Warner ppl died.

There is another much older Bend Fork Cem. but I can't get to it b/c it's out in the BFE somewhere & I can never find it & the roads in the gen. area where it's supposed to be are narrow & rocky...I remember seeing a list of names some time ago for that one but it was only a small handful of names & I don't remember any Warner ppl on it...I should remember if it did b/c one of my 1st cousins marr'd. a Warner so that should have stood out to me.

I do know that there are Warner ppl in not just Belmont Co. but the surrounding co's. of: Harrison, Monroe & Guernsey.

RE: Davis
I'd post a copy of the marr. rec. on his pg. but I don't want it to count as a "request" being filled b/c it's not a photo of a you or I could create a pg. for Ethel & then I'll post a copy of it on her pg.

I have that Ethel did die in 1925 but died in Alliance, Stark Co., OH & was buried in Bellaire (not Bethesda), however, there are multiple cem's. that are considered to be "in" Bellaire so I don't know which cem. it's supposed to be...also the death rec. said that her Dad was born in Bellaire, OH & her Mom in Bridgeport...although I only have a "transcript" of her death rec. & didn't see an actual copy of her DC BUT it did have the correct names for her Parents & also had named Earl W. named as her Husb.

The photo of the marker for Fred & Lillie will get posted when I post the other req's. for there & I'll let you know when I do that.

RE: Meiklehaugh
Hi Cindy,

I would be happy to take at look at your materials to see if I can lend a fresh perspective.

I searched for your Meiklehaugh's while I was a Holy Cross but didn't find them. I didn't mark the request as "Report a Problem" because I looked for them toward the end of the day, I was tired, etc. and I don't like to report a problem with a request until I've checked the location 2 or 3 times.

I'll probably visit Holy Cross next weekend, so I'll take another look. Unfortunately that section is very old and many of the stones are missing or damaged.

In the meantime, please feel free to send along anything information you may have.

RE: Holy Cross Cemetery
Hi Cindy,

There weren't any other Curley's in that row and as you can probably tell from the photo, that gravestone is a replacement since most grave markers from the late 1800's either no longer exist or are impossible to read. Too bad there wasn't any further information to glean from the stone.

I'll go ahead and add the photo to Bridget's memorial as well.

RE: Thomas Green
I am very sorry, but I forgot about your request for other Greens in the area. I had about 8 requests for Grandview and it slipped my mind. I can tell you that there were other Greens next to Thomas, but I do not know the names. When I return to Grandview I will drive over to his grave and have a look. I apologize!

Louise & Hazen Hill
As per your request I have uploaded photos and cemetery record information for them.

There were other Hills in the lot so I created Memorials and uploaded photos for the following Hills: Thomas, Mary, Freda, William, Ethel, and Jay.

If you would like any of them transferred to you, I will be glad to do so.

RE: James R Norton
You are most welcome. I'm delighted I could be of assistance. As to what the 1905 on the Monument means, I'm not sure, but my best guess is that 1905 was the year the Monument was erected.

The next time I'm at Woodlawn, I will get the photo for Louise Elizabeth Norton Hill. The weather is going to turn bad starting tomorrow and most of the week here, so it may be a few days before conditions are right to obtain it.

To my knowledge, I am not related to the Nortons. When I posted the Nortons' photos the same day you saw them, I did so in fulfillment of a request from someone else. Unfortunately, I do not recall the name.

Hi Cindy,

I find her living as a widow with her children in the census records of 1870 and 1880.

Do you have a picture of the headstone or other documentation of the death.

I was there working for three weeks and only had a couple days to spend in the cemetery. Took all I could get. I entered all the pictures I took so if the ones your are looking for are not there then I didn't get them.
