RE: Amanda Mallory
Hi Cheri,

Sorry about the delayed response. This would be the same Amanda, I may have been multi-tasking and messed up on the dates. Sometimes my brain and fingers operate independently from each other. :)

I don't have the info accessible at the moment, so I have updated the dates to match the headstone, and will confirm when I get back to the laptop with the info.

Thanks for bringing to my attention.

RE: Mary Lancaster
The death certificate on Ancestry has 1920. It's pretty clear and 1920 is on that form multiple times. Did the stone get changed or added later? I can send you a copy of certificate if you like. Mike

RE: Levi and Catharine Bonebrake
I was looking for my Levi Bonebrake obituary when I found yours. Have you looked at Daniel Beinbrech's stone translation? Sorry it took so long to share it. Have a great summer Cheri.

This is from Bob Jr.
I looked up an old yearbook. And on page 25 was a picture of your mom.
Grandpa and grandma liveed in Lagrange for years. They owned and operated the Western Auto store. It was the second door south of the court house. I spent many a summer up there. It's funny people say who do I take after, I say Grandpa. I talk just like him and I don't know a stranger.

Grandma was an Overmyer. If you ever need info. on an overmyer I have over 2200 names. She was part German. Grandpa was part Indian.

Have a great day. Bob Thomas Jr.

That's okay.... she is one of my "problem children" right now, so it was confusing. And, I thought it best to have it looked at as some have her with the wrong parents... thank you for responding though...

I was wondering if you could tell me what the light writing says on this stone. Mr. Wolcott is my 3rd or 4th great grandfather. Or if it wasn't too much trouble, I would love a copy of the photo. My email is

Daniel Beinbrech info . . .
Cheri, I wonder if you have any suggestions about a dilemna I've run into. You gave me management of Daniel Beinbrech's Findagrave site (#28285782) some time ago. Recently a distant German relative has directed me to a German site that has a significantly different year of birth, and a slightly different death month.
I would like to find a German speaker in the area of the cemetery who could try for a translation of the information on the gravestone. If not a willing fellow geneaologist, I would be willing to pay something for that - maybe $25-30??
Please tell me what you think. The difference between the birthdate currently there (1721) and the German date (1732) is considerable and I'm trying to figure out what the best solution to the difference is.
Thanks for any thoughts. Anne Wagner

RE: Clark Lee
You are welcome. This cemetery is not like other national cemeteries I've been to (not that I've been to many). They have a black mailbox up at the entrance with a white ring binder inside that "lists" everyone buried there. I found one not listed but found the grave so I know "the list" is incorrect. The numbering is a little wonky so I had to have the head guy show me the graves I was searching for. I crossed check on the National database and couldn't find him either. Good luck in your search.
