No sorry, I don't have the memoir. I just try to connect photos that I find that are part of the public domain to their grave so that in the future family will find them there.

William Rankin Fine Cemetery
Hi there was wondering if you created the memorial site for William Rankin Fine Cemetery? I have a distant ancestor (Alfred C Howard 1855-1947) and His death cert lists he was buried in 'Fine' Cemetery and so does his first wife, Nancy Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Mauney's(1862-1944). Further investigation, I found that 'Fine' Cemetery and this Cemetery, were same latitude/longitude, however the street that leads to this cemetery, Blackberry Cove Road, off of West Hwy 2570, is actually in Newport, Cocke, TN and not Wilsonville. The closest house to this cemetery would be 1144 Blackberry Cove Rd, turn right on what I believe is Knob Hill Rd. The cemetery is there, behind the Time Out Travel Center (Gas/Truck Stop) and the trailer park. Am I correct with this info? Maybe you could assist me in this endeavor, lol, so that I may find where my ancestors were laid to rest. Thank You so much for any help you can give.

RE: Ollie Perry Clay
One other thing - the dates of birth/death were confirmed by Ruby Clay. I always thought it was unique that she passed on her birthday. Her son, Paul Clay, is buried next to her. From what I know, she passed from TB - I haven't determined the birth/death date/cause for Paul.

RE: Ollie Perry Clay
Hello Phillip, Ollie Perry Clay was my Great Grandmother. Her husband was my great grandfather, William "Bill" Clay. One of their children was Annie Crawford (nee Clay). The picture on the site is of those three.

Ollie is the illegitimate child of Frank Perry and Louisa Hamic. Louisa married a Munsey - I don't have his name in front of me right now. So in the census taking, the only record for Ollie shows her as Ollie Munsey.

Her daughter Annie, had several children, one being Ruby. My Aunt Ruby is full of knowledge and details. She was married to Purley Hugh "Pete" Clay who passed a few years back. They, along with Albert Clay, wrote a Clay family genealogy book that contains most of the information on Ollie and her mother/father, to include pictures.

Hope this helps.

Frank

James Wesley Ponder
Greetings, just wondering if the photo that you posted of James Wesley Ponder and wife has the photos of their children in the part that is not showing on their Find A Grave website. Unfortunately, I just have a blurry, much enlarged picture of their daughter Mary Ornan Ponder Ratcliff.

Thanks,

Daniel

Tree trunk monuments
Thanks for the information! I changed my photo description. Carving these out of stone must have been quite a job, but it explains how they held up without crumbling.

RE: Trunk tombstone
Thx for the reply...it is a very interesting style regardless of the origin. Seems like a Russell lady I once worked with said someone in her family made some of them. Do you know how they were made? Carved vs. molded? I thought perhaps made from molds of actual tree trunks as they look so real.

"Tree Trunk" Monument
This particular "tree trunk" stone is for Charles Shell (7-22-1868 to 5-3-1897). He is no relation to me...just found these interesting. This and others are located in the Irish Cemetery in Tazewell (Claiborne Co., TN). Think I have also seen others in another Claiborne Co cem. called Head of Barren.
