Edith Hill at Cavalry
I did not find a headstone at Cavalry for Edith. The record shows she was buried in Section Y Block 34 Lot 1-3. This is a large family plot for Ritchie. I will post a photo of the site. If this does not make sense or you want me to delete the photo please let me know.

William Anderson & Texana C Massey Mays
Hello C.B.,

Thank you for the information. It's sad to know that no marker is left to identify those who have passed. That is why my family and I are so thankful for and its members. We have the means to ensure that our loved ones are never forgotten. Thanks again.

Loyce Mays
Your information about Loyce May Mays is not correct.

She was not married to George Washington Russell

She was married to my dad: Henry Leon Russell

you need to get your facts correct.

Daniel and Elizabeth Beachum
Good morning! I just wanted to let you know that your photo requests for Daniel and Elizabeth Beachum need to be edited. I am in the process of trying to get corrections made, but basically there is no "Old" Tabernacle cemetery in Greenwood. The correct cemetery name is just "Tabernacle" cemetery, and there is a whole separate cemetery listing with the correct info. It seems that there is a contributor in California who received a list for burials in the "Old" cemetery, so that cemetery was created on Find A Grave, but it really is the same as "Tabernacle cemetery" on Find A Grave. I wanted you to know so that you can edit your photo requests. I have been in contact with the California contributor so that she can delete her duplicate memorials and move her cemetery memorials into the correct cemetery. Once this is complete, I will contact Find A Grave to delete the duplicate cemetery itself. I have a lot of photos from the cemetery, since my parents and I have been there, but I don't want to add them until the duplicate cemetery issue is resolved.
Hope this helps!
Have a great weekend!

Caney Cemetery
Thanks for your comment about the cemetery location. That is the problem a lot of people have with Find A Grave - they do not list "all" towns within a county, but instead they only list recognized incorporated towns/communities and the closest one is where they designate a cemetery's location as being. Thus why numerous times cemeteries are duplicated, once by the "official" Find A Grave Administration entry, and then again by some well meaning contributor who knows actual location.

Most cemeteries have a Google map on Find A Grave, thus when people look at it they can tell, in this case, that this cemetery is not remotely close to Sulphur Springs.

I made a note of your comment about the cemetery at bottom of memorial pg to which you sent me that msg.

Thank you.

Niels Warenskjold Family Ties

I recently bought a book The Norwegian Texans from the University of Texas Institute of Texan Cultures.
The Warenskjold family features prominently in this book. I believe Niels Warenskjold to be the son of Wilhelm and Elise Tvede Warenskjold as the book indicates they settled in Four Mile Prairie. Wilhelm is buried in Four Mile Cemetery and after his death the book notes Elise continued to live at the family Farm which was managed by her son Niels. It also mentions that prior to her death, she moved to Hamiliton and lived with her son Otto. Elise is buried in Hamilton. Do you agree this is enough to link the memorials as family? The memorial numbers are Wilhelm: 52992613 Father, Elise: 20388655 Mother, Niels: 52993219 Son, Otto: 110156010.

Thanks for your consideration to this change.

Ralph Lane Mays
My name is Charles Harrold. My father was Murphy Harrold (1909-1966). Murph owned the Subway Billard Club in Shreveport, LA. He was friends with Ralph L. Mays and Pete Skeeles. I am a collector of photos of my fathers friends during their era of the 1930's, '40's, and '50's. I was hoping you might have some old photos of Ralph & Pete especially when they owned the Crystal Lounge. Please contact me and I'm looking forward to hearing from you also.

Thanks for sending the link for Charles Wade Bowie's father. I all ready had his mother's, but had not found or linked his father previously.

RE: Walter Myers photo request
Just so you know, the cemetery and findagrave have no affiliation to each other, so the cemetery is NOT adding photos to findagrave. If it was them that told you that, they are not being honest. They do not cooperate with findagrave volunteers but will give out burial locations if you call and only ask for the location and don't tell them why you need it.

Walter Myers photo request
If you can call Sparkman Hillcrest (214 363 5401) and get the burial location for Walter, I will fill your photo request. The office is very particular about volunteers asking for burial locations.
Once you get the location, please add it to the plot field which can only be edited when looking at the memorial in regular view.

RE: Grave site photo of John H Cullum
You are welcome. I added several other Cullums that were not listed along with photos of their monuments. Included was a Della Cullum Roebuck. All were buried in what is apparently a Cullum family plot. I will be glad to transfer ownership if you wish. The youngest was a Charlie Cullum who died a day after his second birthday.

RE: Cemetery Photo Austin Texas
There's something about the graves of former Confederate soldiers in the Texas State Cemetery that keeps me on the lookout for requests like yours. They have sparse details, without sentimentality.

It makes me think of their last days in the old Confederate Home, a meager reward for people who sacrificed so much.
