Recently I contacted the church at Killinchy to see if they have any records for McCafferty. They sent me baptism and marriage records,I don't think they had funerals as we have today so would be much harder to find burial records for there.
Have you come across any McCafferty graves there or anywhere else? Also would it be possible to tell me the graveyards you have transcribed as I have a lot of ancestors buried in Co Down. Thanks

RE: Trotter
Thank you so much for taking the photo of Sampson and Carolina's headstone. I greatly appreciate it. I hope to be able to visit their grave when I am in Northern Ireland next year.

Thank you for the additional information on Sampson and Caroline Trotter. I look forward to seeing photos of their graves. A relative of mine in Northern Ireland created a family tree of many of our relatives and Sampson and Caroline are on the tree.

No we don't know the exact location though it was her son (Tony's cousin) who sent us the photo.

As you can see, we recently did the memmorial page for her husband, Jimmy here:

RE: Thank you-
Hi Helena,

I discovered St Elizabeth's Church Graveyard is already on Find A Grave. Had you not given me the name of the Church I would have attempted an adding as, Dundonald Graveyard.
There were only 7 memorials at St. Elizabeth's, all by Iain MacFarlaine.
(What nice grave photography he does.)

If I'm reading these few pages of Gravestone Inscriptions correctly, there will be a Church with a Graveyard. Would you happen to know the Church name for Comber Graveyard and Tullynakill Graveyard?

Again I thank you for the wonderful help.

Best Wishes... Colleen

Thank you-"Graveyard" Help

Hi Helena,

Thank you so very much for getting me straightened out with my mix-up between Dundonald Cemetery & Dundonald Graveyard.
I was in a panic wondering where to go with these recordings.
Will see how I do with getting St Elizabeth's Parish Church Graveyard added to Find A Grave.
Appreciate the address.
Grateful for your time and help.

Best Wishes ... Colleen

John Coey

Hello Helena,

Find A Grave let me know it's impossible for John Coey to be buried at Dundonald Graveyard.
Is there another Dundonald Cemetery? I'm following a listing from:

Baronies of Upper and Lower Castlereagh
-Compiled by R. S. J. Clarke
-Published by the Ulster-Scot Historical Foundation, Belfast, and
Printed by The Northern Whig Ltd.,
6 Bridge Street, Belfast, BT1 1RP

-Dundonald Graveyard - page 23
COEY [In low-railed enclosure] Erected by John Coey of Belfast.

Back in 1987 my father and I visited a Coey woman of Comber, Co. Down. She gave me a listing with some names of the old generation of Coeys buried in Counties Antrim and Down. Dundonald was on this list.
Please do let me know if there is a Dundonald Graveyard (Cemetery) in County Down. It appears I have John & his family in the wrong Dundonald Cemetery in the incorrect County.

Thank you for your time and the correction.

Colleen (Coey) Weis - Colorado USA

Hi Helena, Thank you so much for the photo of the Dunlop grave, I appreciate you taking the time to photograph it. The Cunningham grave is B 374 too bad you cant find it but having no headstone isn't helpful, I remember that it was on a hill and just below the Church.
Regards and Happy May Day Irene.

Hi Helena, I'd love to compare notes with u about Mary Mooney. She was my granny's grandmother, although my granny was adopted so never knew her. I'm trying to piece together my granny's family. My granny is almost 98! Many thanks, H

Hi Helen
I was wondering if you have ever come across any other Wilson memorials in Knockbreda Cemetery. I am looking for a cousin of mine who died on 9 Feb 1955 his name was Alfred George Wilson. He lived in Middletown Co Armagh and I was wondering why he was buried in Knockbreda I found this information out from his death notice in the paper of that year. His wife died in 2002 and she is buried in Middletown Co Armagh. I would be grateful if you could look for a grave of such and post a photo for me.
Regards Red Annie

I recently found some info stating that a relative of mine was buried in Newtonbreda Cemetery, however, no such place seems to exist. I wondered if in your exploration of Knockbreda, if you had ever come across anyone from the McCracken family. I am searching for any and all McCrackens in the area, but especially a Francis McCracken who reportedly died in Newtonbreda. Thank you for any info you may have!! Laura
