I suppose you didn't read his page. I knew he was William's step-son. I made the correction.

RE: James - Younger
I think there was a family connection between the James and Younger families, They were cousins I think. Is this correct.

I really do not know, only suspicions. However, the story may be worth telling or a complete waste of time. May be best to contact you on private email. Please keep in mind that I wish to debate and discuss

RE: Virginia M. Church Mitchell
Wilma, I was happy to visit the cemetery & check for you. There is an empty spot next to the stone for her husband. I will keep an eye on that spot but I feel like there will probably not be a stone since it is located in the older section of the cemetery.

Take Care!
Pat

From 1872 to 1873 he as engaged in clerking in a drug store in Stockton, and then went to Fannin County, Texas, and was occupied in teaching the young idea for one year, then returned to Missouri, and followed the same occupation for six months, after which he resumed clerking in a drug store. You're welcome. There were a number of other Horns in that lot which I added photos for. You may want to take a look and see if you are related to them.

Thanks. Susan has an impressive monument. I was getting ready to give up finding this, even though I had a map. The monument is on a hill that is difficult to walk. Then it suddenly was looking me in the face.

Hello Mrs Norton!

Thank you for contacting me. Yes, that certainly is not the correct photo. I am unable to delete it since I did not add the photo, but, I have sent a message to that person, asking if she could delete it.

I appreciate your help in transcribing. I think it is a fabulous new way to combine efforts, even if there are some glitches in the system. There are many undocumented graves in that particular cemetery, as there are in many, but, the veterans' graves have a special place in my heart. When I am out looking to fill a request, I typically take photos of any veteran's grave then check to see if they are listed.

The volume of work to edit photos, transcribe after going out to the cemeteries makes it a slow process for me. That trip alone I took a hundred photos after realizing how few were yet documented. So, thank you so much for what you are doing! I love taking photos, but am just slow in transcribing. :)

Gertrude Young Spencer
Hello again Wilma,

I went ahead, with the permission of the family and made a memorial for Gertrude Luetta (Young) Spencer and I bean attaching her to her family. I put a little bio of her story and that of her mother and father. You can also get more information on her mothers memorial page. She is Elizabeth (Moss)Young Goodall. As well as The history of the Spencer family from Mt. Sherman Arkansas. (Newton County). It is located in Salt Lake City, Utah family search library. Let me know if you run into anything that needs to be looked at a little further.

very best,
Tanya Reed-Bush

Troy Alonzo Spencer
Hello Wilma,

I am right in the middle of working with many of those families out of Newton County and Marion County Arkansas who are directly related to Troy Alonzo Spencer and his family. I am related to this family many time over.

I have a couple of questions if I may #1. Is the copy of Troy's birth certificate a delayed copy that you have ? #2. How old is the data stored on your index CD ? #3 Do you have a copy of his social security application?

As I'm sure you are already aware. The parents that attach to Troy Alonzo Spencer are his father Charles Linvelle Spenser and his mother is Gertrude Luetta Young not Younger, but I may have an explanation for the confusion.

There are two step-sisters to Gertrude and one is born from a Younger and the other is married to the siblings of Charles Linvelle Spencer. My 3rd great grandfather was extremely close with Charles Linvelle Spencer and his father was a best friend to my grandfather. In fact three of my grandfathers children are married into this direct line of Spencer children and one of those is Gertrude herself. furthermore, my 3rd great grandfathers has a 1st cousin who is married into your line of Younger's from Marion County and surrounding areas. I have reached out to the Spencer, Young and attached families to see if they have anything with regard to the last name Younger attached to Charles Linvelle Spencer, but from what I have documented, his mother ( my 2nd great grand aunt ) is a Gertrude Luetta (Young) Spencer. I hope this is some help. I'm always available if you have any other questions.

Sincerest regard,
Tanya Reed-Bush

Wilma, This is strange...in reply to your request that I delete Memorial 144821813 ... I tried, but I cannot delete it either. I am not given that option. This has never happened to me before.

Margaret Louisa Younger Tate
Hi Wilma.
I apologize for not contacting you sooner. There seems to be a slight problem with Margaret Louisa ... Her death certificate lists her name as Luease(sp) Tate, and was transcribed as Lueare Tate, but it shows father as William Younger and mother as unknown. I made Memorial# 144821813 based on her death certificate.

She has a grave marker in Mount Zion Cemetery under the name Louisa Younger Tate. BUT the birth dates were different, so I also made Memorial# 144820308 for her.
So, there is a duplicate...

I see from your name that you are a Younger and since you are researching this family, I am happy to transfer both memorials plus Fletcher Jesse Tate to you and maybe you can OR maybe already have cleared this up. : ) It is so much easier to work with memorials when you manage them. I hope this meets with your approval.

YOUNGER BROTHERS
ARE YOU RELATE TO THE OUTLAW YOUNGER BROTHERS FROM THE LATE 1800'S? I RECENTLY DID A FAMILY PICTURE GENEALOGY CHART FOR JAMES YOUNGER AND HIS SON HERE IN PHOENIX. I GOT BACK INTO THE LATE 1700'S AND HAVE A VERY COOL YOUNGER CEMETERY PICTURE TAKEN ON PRIVATE PROPERTY IN SPARTENBURG SOUTH CAROLINA.
