Yes, I see that now. I can't read what is on the stones. Could you provide me with information that is on each stone? I find it interesting that Sarah Peavey is on her stone, all the census records give her name as Sallie.

Hi Joyce -- Regarding FindAGrave entry #61193003 for Truman Palmer, Pine Grove Cemetery, Allegany Cty., NY: it appears that there is an epitaph engraved at the bottom of his headstone, but it's not clear enough to read in the photo. Hello Joyce,
I really appreciate your posting of the memorial stone photos of Edmund Palmer, Ellen Foster Palmer, Truman Palmer, and Sarah Y. Palmer. In particular, in the case of Truman, it has helped to resolve the matter of his date of death. Oddly enough, he appears on 1880 census after his wife Sarah's entry, but then his name was lined out. I never knew whether he was still alive at that time or what.
One further question: There appears to be an epitaph at the bottom of Truman's memorial stone. I can make out just one word in your photo: "done". If you ever have the occasion to be at Pine Grove again, I would be delighted to get the wording of this epitaph. It's so rare to find one on an older stone. In fact, this is the first one I've come across among my family members of this era.
